Elise for the lulz

I understand that the bug has been stepped on. But is it still reasonable to play

FOR FUN

, Elise top? Or is she still so bad that it is completely dumb to do so?

If so...items, skills, etc etc.

Well I wouldn't consider her extremely strong but here goes nothing:

I'd max R > Q > W > E

For runes: greater mark of hybrid penetration, /, / and greater quintessence of hybrid penetration/

Masteries: probably something like this, may opt out some of the AP for the left side of the offensive tree

Items: I'd start with either or (against heavy ad ) and then focus on getting something like for damage. After that I'd go tankier with / and build if it's late game already or you are winning by far. and are viable options as well. For boots , or , I think.

as for the build, I usually start shield vs anything, then get cowl + guise vs ap or just straight out rush sunfire vs ad (if you wanna do this you need to farm well and get sunfire around lvl 11). Rest is pretty standard tanky stuff. If you're really ahead globally (i.e your team is also ahead) get abyssal + zhonyas and wreck faces, else go tanky with visage/banshees and randuins. Don't ever finish liandry's, if you need offensive stats opt for abyssal instead. Consider taking ad marks and the ad masteries as elise relies on auto attacks a lot to harass and it scales nicely with your attack speed steroid. Good luck friend o/

Actually, elise top can win lane quite hard vs most champs, and you can't really 1v1 her while even unless you have a lot of burst. Thing is, while she can win lane, it's very hard to make an impact later in the game. She also can't really handle jungle ganks well and it's hard to follow up on a gank past her stun cause her jump is very very clunky when used near max range. She sets up ganks well, though. It's a perfectly fine choice if you want to play her for fun and you'd be surprised at how well she handles certain matchups. You can also play her in ranked if you wish, as she can hold her own quite well. You are gimping your chances to win though, and you really have to know how to push your early game to the maximum.
