    I do think she is underestemated, because late game, she really can wreck faces, but early game D:
    Early game she is so weak.

    She cannot really farm well, she is melee, she does barely any damage early on, is a bit wall dependant for the stun and stuff...
    Best way to play her atm, I feel, is in the jungle, because her ganks can be rediculously strong when performed well, but her clearing time isn't very fast either.

    She is just too weak early game, but if you feel you can survive that, late game she is worth it :D

    Lane Poppy is shut down easily like lane Nasus. Unfortunately, unlike Nasus, Poppy brings very little to a team without lane farm, so jungling her is out of the question (plus, she needs blue). This puts Poppy in an awkward position of having no place to go on Summoner's Rift despite being a strong champion.

    It's strange, because I'm told Poppy's laning is supposed to be practically freefarm against Nasus due to her Q. Between levels 1-8, since Poppy deals a lot of mixed damage, Nasus can't really kill her alone or go into melee range.

    I actually tried this during an inhouse (me as Nasus vs Poppy) and I struggled to get things done without my jungler. I wouldn't be able to farm because every time I went for a last hit, Poppy would just come and Q me. It was only after I got a few extra levels on Spirit Fire and some mana items that I could start securing CS more safely.

    However, once Nasus buys something like Aegis of the Legion, she's ****ed, it's true.

    She's strong if you know how she works. Her ultimate and passive are two of the most broken mechanics in the entire game. Her problem is farming though.

    I'd like to notify that her Q damage early game can make a gp with 654 hp to a gp with 573 hp, just by 1 Q. :)

    In my opinion, playing Poppy in any sort of way is valid.

    For example : by going tanky, the passive's percentage can go up to 500 shield points for 3 seconds, tanking turrets without waiting for your minion wave can be very useful.

    Additionally : by going bruiser, you will be able to bring harsh pounding towards your laner, whichever it will be, and remain tanky as is (by taking The Black Cleaver, Trinity Force, Sterak's Gage, etc)

    Nonetheless : if you go ad, you will have to endure less tanking and aggroing, since it will pound you highly, but if you are on a task of killing anyone on low health, with a dead man's plate, The Black Cleaver and The Bloodthirster, I'm sure you won't have a problem.

    To add up : by going ap you declare yourself a tanky support, by going Luden's Echo, Redemption, and the rest of the support items, your W will be the only ability which hurts, which makes it easiest for the adcarries near you to claim the kill without effort.

    (I have to mention I've tried Poppy on every single route on ranked, and have won... maybe have said I'm throwing their ranked game but it was worth the victory at the end.)

    Nevertheless, the final option : Full movement speed poppy, by using items as for Dead man's plate, Boots of speed, etc, you will be able to hunt down champions without unecessarily procing your W.

    Ap = Support & tanky poppy
    Bruiser = Lane bully poppy
    Tanky = Safe lane poppy
    Ad = Jungler Poppy
    Move speed = can be used as adc poppy or support poppy.

    Thank you for reading! :)

    I suggest playing Poppy in Dominion, the passive gold and exp. plus the level 3 start help to alleviate much of her early game struggles.

    However if you have to play Poppy in Summoner's Rift then I suggest you go Jungle. Bad clear times are a negative, but Poppy works well with Sheen and can absolutely carry a game when fed.

    Hopefully Riot takes a look at reworking/buffing Poppy in the near future as she's one of my favorite champions.
