Why does everyone hate teemo

Teemo is a champion which often gets heat from the community and is hated immensely.
I would love if this community could come together and have a civil discussion if teemo really is the plague that should be cleansed, I never understand why he is so hated and would love to hear some reasons.

Because your blind is cancer, your ult is cancer, ur invisibility is cancer, ur poison + aery combo is cancer, and on top of that you run so fast that no one can kill you

People hate Teemo because it can be difficult to get around his poke and run. When you chase him after he pokes, you get shroomed. If you don't get shroomed, he hit's W and makes a break for it. When he can't hit W, he hides with his passive. He's very slippery almost all the time. He hits you, but you can't always hit back.

Think of how Gollum from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" felt as Bilbo turns invisible, kicks Gollum in the face, then books it for the exit. This is why players hate Teemo.

It is so obnoxious holy **** her sustain with E basically makes your Q worthless and her ult ms buff makes it so that she can be equally as fast as you which is just so annoying even if you use move fast it has the same speed.

I guess what he meant was "What about playing as top but not necessarily against ?".

Although can be really strong with AP items, unless your team's takes a juggernaut or splitpusher your lategame will be heavily influenced by the lack of it, making contesting and fighting extremely hard.

Everyone hates teemo because of the way he is played and who plays him. The people who play teemo are seen as *******s who play a champion that has a very overpowered mechanic built into his kit that has very minimal counterplay in solo queue. The teemo players will always make some stupid toxic comment after they get a solo kill that they did not deserve, and that is why everyone hates them. Same thing goes for heimerdinger and talon mains.
