I wrote out a big long response about changing your rune pages every game, and before I hit "post" I double-checked what exactly you had written.
What you're asking about is the value of the minor runes as the second half of a rune page.
Here are my thoughts:
Triumph and
Legend: Tenacity can be put in as secondary runes for anybody. Tenacity is the rarest stat in the game (except maybe spell vamp? Is it still called spell vamp?), and is only wasted space if the enemy team has literally no hard cc. As for
Triumph, most people know this, but the reason you get triumph is for the sustain during teamfights, and not the extra gold.
You almost never see Domination as a secondary tier except on supports (and occasionally mages who don't feel safe without the healing from
Ravenous Hunter)
Relentless Hunter is generally taken, along with
Zombie Ward.
Manaflow Band is very popular as a secondary rune to allow for more harass in lane, and is usually paired up with
Scorch, or in some cases
Waterwalking or
Gathering Storm.
Bone Plating is currently VERY strong, and may get its numbers dialed back a little bit in the future - it seems like everybody is taking this over
Demolish; usually alongside
Conditioning.
Now that
Magical Footwear and
Perfect Timing are on the same tier slot, not every single person is taking them both.
Future's Market is a strong choice to pair with either one still.

Zombie Ward is also decent on some junglers. Although, with the removal of
Tracker's Knife I expect Zombie Ward will be less attractive. :/
I'm gonna take a different approach and break down some basic secondary setups for various roles or types of champions. There's a lot of variety, so feel free to find a few secondary pairings you like and then slowly branch out from there. In no particular order, here we go:

Legend: Tenacity in any of your examples... I take almost every time I play a Bruiser. Maybe it's not as good as I think it is?

Hey @ WAVEBOY sorry I didn't see this until now. I think Resolve secondary is a good choice for Katarina in threatening matchups.
Second Wind sounds good against people with consistent harass like
Kassadin but you might want to switch that out for
Chrysalis against all-in champions like
Talon. Hope that helps.
