Pretty in depth guide that covers almost everything I wanted to know about Sona.

This is the best Sona guide for me. My win rate is 8/10.

The guide is out of date. It includes items that have been removed from the game.

I only see EotW? They probably just skipped over it on their last update this is a pretty frequently updated guide so it'll probably get fixed. For the mostpart I think people will know the issue though since everything else is fine.

Eye of the watchers has been removed but not from the guide.

Its almost Christmas and no silent night sona skin yet :( . Great guide btw

Looking at pro build all of them run archangel rather than roa, then lich bane. Thoughts?

A big problem that i have with archangel's is the price difference. RoA currently costs 2600, compared to archangels costing 3200, which is a rather large amount of gold for a support to have to get in a short enough time for it to be effective. This is why i normally go RoA, because i can consistently get it at the 11 - 13 minute mark, where archangels you normally get at the 16 - 17 minute mark. Probuilds shows that players run archangels over roa because they played sona adc, back when sona taric was a thing, and sona had the freedom to farm. As a support, you should not be farming, but only poking with your q and auto attacks, so gold is harder to get.

tldr; its more expensive and slower to build than roa because youre the support, not the adc.

I sometimes find it difficult to complete ROA soon. I feel like I am giving up a lot building this before Lich Bane. How soon do you think you have to complete ROA in this build to be worth it?

The average time for me to complete is about 11-13 minutes, but it allows for you to build lich bane while it scales. So when you complete lich bane, roa will have probably 7 stacks, which gives you a huge power spike.

Wow that's quick for ROA. For me it's been a few minutes slower than that. I definitely see it being useful getting it that quick.

Sona is based around poking, which is going to be your main source of gold income through /. Which means that the more you poke the enemy laner, the more gold you get, therefore a faster RoA.

hey i'm back moon <3

ok suggestion, take or and since you have I've been having fun using you deal a lot of damage to clear the enemies. secondary runes are 100% correct i've been rushing and then usually get and it's suprisingly powerful and i'd suggest you try it out not 100% if you'd like it but for me it's a perfect build and i've been doing this in ranked games and no one really understands how to fight it

I'm switching over to as of now, but i still tend to take if I have a team that is going to be reliant on fights around baron or dragon. It works well if you have a team that would really benefit from the objective, like a and a .

As for , i could see it working, but you would be super mana hungry early game, even with the rush, so is probably the better option in most scenarios, unless you're going to be facing something like a that can easily stop you from poking. It could work, but pretty much gives the same move speed once you get 2 or 3 points on it, which makes it pretty much useless in the late game. I see what you mean about taking it with , but when you ult as , its normally (at least for me) to set up a fight that you are going to win, and the move speed isnt a huge deal if you need to catch up to the enemy, because you could just slow one of the low enemies to make sure your team gets the kill.

As for items, I could see / working, if you were to rush tear, but it might be hard to get it if you are being pressured in lane, because its such an expensive early game item for a support at 850 gold. is a god tier item on , making her already huge damage from . I could maybe see working, but at the same time it will be hard for you to get out of a fight if you time it poorly, due to 's lack of escapes.

actually you are so mana hungry if you follow my start which is a and you just gotta be careful with your health until level 2 and yes you can still be mana hungry but you will regen a fair amount to so it works well with

It depends on the matchup you are in. If you are facing something like / , you are going to need the increased mana to try to get them off of the farm, so ur adc can get it. I can see being good for lvl 6-13, but it is going to become irrelevant once you start maxing , due to going into effect, but when you will need it the most, in the late game during team fights, your e will give you more move speed / AP scaling. I wont deny that it is going to be good early on, but it becomes weak when it should be stronger. The rune is going to be stronger on a champ whos ult requires / gives move speed, like or , because they can use the ms much more than can.

that's why i always ban you always want to ban her just because you don't want any engaging champions that require next to no skill and for you only attack the adc's when you have your passive Q up then you easily out trade almost all adc's
