Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 10.23!

This patch introduces a variety of new changes coming to champions having Brand, Amumu and Seraphine being among the few targets for this patch. This patch will also include stat updates such as Vamp effects, Critical Strike and Ability haste. Lastly, Patch 10.23 will also feature changes to runes and ARAM changes. Remember that this is the last patch of Season 10 so hopefully you've been able to reach your goal this season!

Of course, patch 10.23 also marks the release of the new and improved Item Rework along with the new Shop Interface. Because of this there has been some major changes to items, including new items such as mythic items and removing some items that we'll surely miss for time to come (like Hextech Gunblade. If you want to learn more about this new item rework then you can read the patch notes.

I really liked the shop rework, even though in my opinion it had it's flaws (really really strong assassins and tank items; Athene's Unholy Graail and Archangel's Staff shield removal), it'll probably take a few patches until it's in a more balanced state, but it's definetly fun as hell! On a sidenote, i wish Seraphine's changes would have favored her more on mid-lane, maybe with time they will.

things that i don't like about the new shop interface:

- if you have the shop interface open and Alt+Tab from the game to let's say open a new background track on your media player,80% of the interface will jump to a random corner and will be out of the screen boundaries which brings us to the important point: making the interface drag-able from all sides. coz you will be stuck the whole game without a shop to buy stuff from. lucky this happens more in a practice or vs bot games, but happened to me a couple of times in draft games.

- the (recommended items) slides are the best they did in this interface but having only 3 items at a time is not practical at all. let's say you saw a fed top laner and your recommended items say its good against bot/jg if you want something that will help face that specific champion that is fed in top lane you can't do anything about it until you at least buy one of the items already recommended in the slides, have a refresh button that will update depending on the situation, or at least a champ icon slide (one like the boots section or Rengar's passive slide) that has the champions you are facing, click the champ you want to build against him and the recommended items will refresh to suit your needs.

- Icons are really small( to my taste at least). i know this is ment for a wider selection option but at least put a scaling option (and no you can not control it with any of the interface options provided. and the sorting icons are even smaller and that sometimes makes me waste time looking for the right icon to press instead of just recognizing it by general shape.

- having the sell, undo and money to the bottom left corner, makes it very far away from the purchase button, and that sometimes makes me waste time when i have second thought on an item. make the undo and sell buttons under the purchase button

- the place of "amount of money" shown in the shop is unpractical, that is to try and spend time focusing in that general area to see how much you got, also the font size and shape is really small making it useless. i already im looking at the champ status hub for that. its already bigger in size and much clearer by default and can be adjustable in the options to make it suitable for your comfort, the location and size of "amount of money" in the shop need another location/ bigger size

- the inventory section is useless by all meanings, it does not show you what you have until you move over it with your mouse, and serves no purpose whatsoever, since i can see all my items in my champ status hub and can right click to sell any item. and as a bonus i can drag and drop to adjust item location, something you can not do in the inventory section. it also does not have any boundaries giving the illusion that you can have more that 6 items, plus it does not show your wards. i know it serves no purpose showing it but its called "inventory section", wards are items in your inventory. remove the inventory section and add something more useful

Btw the inventory section does let you sell items as well and in a way it does have a boundary too, but I get what you mean.

yes you are right, and that's exactly what i mean. that's the only thing you need it for, is to sell the items when you need to. but you can do it already and easily from the champ status hub, also what i mean by boundaries is that there is no square shapes that your eye can see that lets you know how many empty slots you have, and there is a space to the left big enough for two extra items. that will deceive the eye making you think you can put more items there, try it, go to practice mood and buy 6 items. then hover over the inventory section. you will see that there is room for two more items. they did not fill it with an icon or a boarder or anything.

That's true but assuming you already know that you can only buy a total of 6 items, both now and before preseason, I don't see how that boundary would actually change that.

it doesn't, again you are right, but it's impractical. plus its so easy to add 6 squares/ the ability to drag items. and even if they did add it to the inventory, it's still not practical since you already able to see all your items from the champ status hub without moving your mouse and is actually way closer to the purchase button, making it way easier and faster for you to sell and or organize items
