I am not going to lie, it's getting quite hard to keep this guide up to date, because as for right now, I have like billions of guide to update/create on Mobafire. However I still won't let this guide die in the ashes!

Really good guide!!
Really liking that Hail of Blades Soraka Rune & Build you have listed,
Played it twice so far (1st time I went adc soraka with senna support in normal & 2nd time it was senna adc and me as raka support in ranked)
I went 2/1/13 in the Normal and 2/0/12 in the ranked. It is a very fund build path and anti Ward build route. I am low elo (Iron to Silver for ranked) so it works in low elos at least.
Great Guide!! I’ll be sure to try out other rune paths soon to find the one that fits me best!!

I also consider one of the funnier build setups you can run, as it really changes the way you play in a great way. From my experience, people usually like the path quite a bit, so perhaps you can start from there.

I am not the typical start Q soraka player either, I start E and use it to proc my support item multiple time early on (in one of my games the Normal one I had 195 stacks of Sickle by 4:19 into the game)

Good work! I like niche runes & builds - something off-meta and fun! Just tried the glacial rune (soraka cc) and i must confess i had SO MUCH fun! Keep the work going!

It's been some time since I've commented on this guide and I thought I could let you know on your progress. :)

Layout & Presentation
Some of the colors you're using (mostly blue and your dark purple are sometimes a little hard to read because the dark blue can sting the eyes a little. (Criticism on a high level I know..)

I really like how clean your rune chapter looks and that you're discussing all other possible runes of and .

Matchups
Please add more champions to that roster. For instance, where are and (or who I'd mentioned last year :b)? Also, isn't much of a threat when I'm playing . You can silence him with when he tries to hook him and her ultimate will also counter his. I usually try to "tilt" s in early game by silencing them as often and fast as possible. This way, most players don't even try to hook you anymore. :b

Runes
To enhance your guide, I think you could discuss runes as well since they also offer some nice options. Furthermore, they're not that uncommon runes to play as (yes, I'm guilty of using them too. xD)

Optional new chapters & ideas
(I'm just brainstorming here, so I totally understand when you think that all of this stuff is not really worth a second thought.)

I would advice a combo chapter. Usually combos help new players to understand the mechanics of the general play style better.
I think a positioning help is for Soraka really helpful. It could be a short video on positioning itself or just some paragraph on how important positioning is because you're healing people at your own life's expanse and you don't want to overdo it or rather you're not really useful when you've disrespected a champions range and ability and therefore find yourself waiting for the death timer to come to run out.
Teamwork is also quite a important thing to talk about. There's that sentence hammered in my brain of what a former Soraka player once kept saying: "No protection - no heals!" It's not meant in an offensive way but when your team couldn't care less for helping you, you can't help and heal them back in return. It's a two-way street and I find that I'm losing way more games when people don't care for their Soraka and acknowledge her powers and carry potential.

I think I've talked quite a bit now and I'm looking forward to your response.

First of all I'd like to say that I appreciate your review a lot. It always warms my heart when someone comes with new ideas to make my guides better <3

First thing I'd like to say is that this guide is reaaaaaaaaaaaally old. A lot of content here is just extremely rusty and doesn't make any sense. That is because like a year ago I lost all my motivation to work on Mobafire, solely because I was just bored of constant meta updates and it felt quite bad updating your guide even when you know that you will never push it to the 1st place :/ I literally started renewing it just few days ago, because I came with some new crazy rune ideas that are not mentioned in any up to date guide.

For updating my colors I have to be really careful because IT IS NOT FUN AT ALL. I am doing my best to prevent myself from burnout so I no longer do big/repeatable changes in my guides (You can tell by looking at my more recent guides that I no longer code at all - I just write whatever my heart desires and do small text edit). That doesn't mean that I will not change it in my future guides, I will definitely select a better color scheme in those.

Matchups are a big problem for me that I do not understand. I have made a very detailed matchup section for most of my new #waitsupport? guides, but whenever it comes to (My most played champion of all time) it just... doesn't go off IUKWIM. Sometimes I add a matchup or two but most of the times it feels boring to do. Matchup section is currently the most outdated part of this guide and I am absolutely familiar with it. I will try my best to push myself into at least updating , which I know makes 0 sense:/

For runes I have a weak spot and I love creating new possibilities. Expect some updates on topic regarding runes (though probably not necessarily tree because it is just super boring to play in compare with or even though it is probably more powerful).

I am looking for new chapters to start in this guide (currently I am thinking about 'When to pick which summoner spells' because as you can see I have a lot of recommended summoner spells on top of my guide XD) but that Combo chapter also feels very interesting and unique.... Yeah I'm probably making this, this is going to be fun :D

I just wanted to address that I think I have made some nice upgrades to my guide. I think I finished most of your advises you gave me (more chapters, better colours, more & better matchups and combo chapter) and I am really thankful for them as they made my guide A LOT better. Currently I plan on updating Ability Explanation chapter as it is the oldest part of this guide and most importantly create new chapters. It is getting harder and harder to create them as I really really dislike the idea of adding mechanical based chapters to offmeta guide.

Well that's about all I wanted to say. The point of this comment is to remind you that reviews like that one you gave me really make a difference and once again, thank you very much for your feedback <3

I really like what you've done with your guide. Especially the presentation looks so much cleaner now. And I think I've never seen anyone talking about Champ Select and different stages of it. This guide has just improved so much, I'm actually a little speechless (still saying heaps, I know, I know..).

Sometimes off-meta guides have it a little harder than meta guides but I like your courage and the effort you've put in. Surely, your guide shouldn't struggle much because no one can deny the effort and the helpful information you've put in.

Haha, I can relate to that. Been tinkering a little on my Yuumi guide recently and sometimes I'm just like "Nooo..." xD But in the end, when you see the result, it's always worth it and you're proud of yourself for accomplishing it. Maybe it's just some motivational thing. But I'm assuming we're quite alike in that matter to the point we kinda start getting a little nerdy about details. But I'm glad you were happy with my advices and thought of them as helpful. :)

Thanks man, I really appreciate the fact that you replied as your words mean a lot to me. You are absolutely right about off meta guides having a harder time. When this guide used to be a classic meta guide (~2 moths ago), votes where appearing like crazy and since I changed the runes and almost tripled it in size, the vote ratio has significantly reduced. But I don't mind that much. I am finally enjoying writing new chapters and working on this guide in general. I am happy that I am helping people that want to have fun, rather then people that just play for wins.

Anyway, big thanks to you and your words (and let's be honest your +rep is sweet as well, you now seem quite.... prominent to me :D). I wish you the best of luck in mid season 10 guide contest (which also quite motivated me to keep my guide nice & clean), with your absolutely magical & guides, you are definitely a worthy opponent to others in category.

sorry for the late reply. My life suddenly started to get really busy again and I mostly neglected being active on MobaFire and didn't want to give you a half-hearted reply.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder whether people just downvote a guide because they have one of their own or know some friends who have a guide about the same champion. Ever since I was set to "Honorable Mention" in the S10 Guide Contest (which is still quite flattering for me), I feel like downvotes just increased by no reasonable amount. Technically speaking, my guide can be seen as one of the best that was online back then when the judged looked through all of the guides, yet its downvotes increased. It does not seem to make sense and I really did stop bothering about it, but it doesn't really feel too fair. I wonder if it was possible to implement a system that required you to leave a comment if you wanted to downvote a guide.

Never thought would actually be worth on , but seems like with some HP items it could be really valuable against full all-in team. I'd want to know what you think on focusing on this certains skill order (R > E > W > Q), do you have any tips to counter the high mana cost? Anyway, nice guide!

I already saw some people playing this skill order but I do not think it is actually worth because (as you said) of the high mana cost. Maybe rushing blue support path for mana regeneration. This skill order can be used (i think) only in situations when you are getting outranged by enemy support and ADC. For example Caithlin or maybe because E almost do not have cast time. Also recommend to buy some mana items early like Athen's or Redemption. Overall It is not bad but If you want to poke I prefer R > Q > W > E
