And it is the same for all people, but more drastically for some than others.

Also, about your normal Elo comment:

Xaioli wrote:

I personally hate/disapprove normal game screenies because who honestly takes normal games seriously. Real trolls. It's like you can get fed once from people just ****ing around, and be like, oh hey! Look at my guide guys! That one game totally made it valid!!! Even though my normal elo win spread is 210+, I still disapprove normal game screenies. However, if you do, please share your normal win loss. Again, there's a real big difference between a player that is 50 games low and a player like myself that is 210 plus.

Anyways, I'm stuck and winded into the 'elo thought'. You're right, I am. I'm just really sick of seeing 'good scores' on guides only to find out that person is 1100 elo. 1000 elo, 900, etc etc. I know some of you do it to help. Cool, but if you're going to "help", share your elo. Let the readers know what level of gameplay they are reading/learning from.

Then you say "However, if you do."

meaning you really don't care about normal Elo.

And, I didn't GIVE UP, I just didn't find losing every game fun, and I play for FUN.

Keep in mind when I started ranked I just turned 30, so I wasn't the best of players...so I lost most ranked games against people who had more ranked experience and overall game experience than I did at the time.

and also @ B-Wong's comment a while back:

you mentioned how you were also against idiots...but what if you were against actual smart players who got themselves at a lower Elo like you? But your teammates were actually idiots? :o

That's just it. I know that I played bad enough to get myself down to that ELO, therefore I put myself at a low skill level like that of the people around the same ELO as mine. I smartened up while they're still at the same ELO. That's what ELO does, it keeps everything in check. I can guarantee you that I'm probably just an average player, that's why my ELO was just where it was and is (1000-1200 range currently) I just happened to play to their skill level.

But what if people who were stuck at your Elo were better than you and you constantly dropped and dropped due to that?

Then I'd better smart up and play better.

Why am I still reading this thread?

Everything has been said 1000000000000x by 30 different people and now we are essentially just forcing our arguments down other peoples throats. Each post just looks the same as everything else. 1 person makes a good point, other person makes a good point.

Bottom line is, yes there are factors in games, yes you get low elo by having bad games (NOT neccesarily being bad, but it tends to go with it). Xai also made a good point when he said Solo Queue is SOLO, and Team is TEAM. Essentially play Solo if you want to carry your team by yourself, and play team if you actually want to play without having to carry, like playing a support or a tank. Also Wrath clearly doesn't give a **** about ranked games right now, nor does it matter if he does or not. There's probably some guy out there who only plays normals and has never heard of HotShotgg, yet could probably pwn hotshot 11 times out of 10. Point is, you don't know until that actually happens, if it ever does. I wouldn't neccessarily say this thread is QQ'ing about Elo's either. It's probably fine the way it is now, but wouldn't EVERYONE like it better if all the leavers and feeder problems were fixed? Wouldn't that benefit everyone? Not just people who have Low Elo, but also High Elo?

Just saying. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing because I know I can better and I haven't played any ranks yet anyways.

^Great post.

Let it be the final post of this thread,

this is getting tiring.

also when did Xai say solo is solo and team is team O_O

yes that is true, I guess.

I know that my brother losing games sounds like an excuse in the way I wrote it, but my point was this: I haven't been able to pull myself back up, so I probably don't belong at more than about 1100-1300 ELO, which is fine to me, since it isn't as competitive as 1400+ ELO.
It could be a good idea to write your ELO in guides, but I think some users or guests on this site would simply skip guides from low ELO players, even though the guide might be viable in ranked games. I'm not saying my Malphite guide is high ELO, but it is currently top rated, though my ELO is kinda bad. I've only won about 54% of my games with Malphite, which isn't that good for a main champion. However a better player than me, could probably do better with the same build, so low ELO players can make solid guides if they simply understand how to play the champion, though they aren't able to do some of the stuff themselves.

^ Didn't read the above post. I'm fine with closing the thread, haven't read it all, so I don't know exactly what former arguments people have used.

Quoted:
after looking at wrath's post above mine. ELO is a ranking for a player's skill level. It's a team game, of course, but there are categories. SOLO QUEUE, and Premade. YOUR TURN KID, lmao

honestly i would kind of rather have this closed, idc. the original op was answered and it turned into a giant rant about elo.
