What would be the big deal if there was no longer Elo in solo queue? Easy test would be changing the game mode for normal games to draft pick and see how things go. I think you'd see that people would still troll like hell in normal games just because all they care about is the e-peen growth. Not saying that's for sure, but that's my prediction from a wealth of experience in these communities (HoN, LoL and DotA). I mean, it's not as though a person's solo Elo is what matters is it? I mean, the end-of-season tournament is based off the premade queue isn't it, not the solo queue right? Here's another question, if Riot is aware that people widely consider normal games to just be a complete trollfest why don't they do something (change the game mode or something)? Purely a hypothetical question as I have no idea whether or not Riot does know that most people consider normal games a joke.[/quote]

It dosen't wake up one day and just go, Hey, it's that guy, let's fuck over his elo! No. It happens to EVERYONE. :). Team picks are an issue a lot, but again, it happens to everyone ;P - Out of thousands and thousands of players, of course you can't have a say against who you play. Matchmaking has to be fast and efficient. Thus, ELO is needed. - End of the season tournament is decided off of how many Circuit Points a team has. Circuit Points are gained from winning tournaments and LANS. ELO in ranked games have 0 effect. Just for show and skill. Draft Mode and Blind Pick are two huge different modes. Really game changing believe it or not. - Riot has to keep normal and ranked seperate. One for chill purposes, one for more serious purposes. Games are fine the way they are imo. No one tries in normals, people try in ranked, thus giving a more 'exact skill level range'.[/quote]
