What B-Wrong says basically covers it.

But, if you are fairly new to the game, chances are the people you are playing with are too...as you level up you will get with more experienced players as well, even though solo q level 30 you can get matched with some doozies too...

what level are you btw?

but yea, one solution is to find some GOOD players in your games, add them, and get a premade team going. You can also look around/make a thread in the matchmaking subforum to try to find a group. Playing with other competent people helps a ton ^^

But normally you will see people in ranked solo q play carries a lot, that is how you carry out of a lower Elo generally...pick Vlad and win games (Gravefury) :D

Thanks to TRUeLM, Plastictree, Scrax, Xiaowiriamu, foggy12, JahGFX, jhoijhoi, msrobinson, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, MissMaw, and me :) for the sigs!

Well give him some credit, he's gotten to 1800 ELO :P You can't just ride the Vlad train all the way up there just because he's annoying to play against, he still has to be a good player to get that far up.

He/She's not level 30. It would be a disadvantage to quite a few people.

Most of us have smurf accounts, I'm happy to play with anyone if they ask. It's always good for lower levels to play with 30's. Gives them a good idea of how higher levels play.

Thanks everyone for your help. I suppose the obvious followup is what champs are good for carrying a bad team to victory, and how should you adjust your play from normal play? I generally play annie and ashe very conservatively, just trying as hard as possible to farm well and getting a kill when the enemy overextends themselves (a lot of the time, the game never really develops into the teamfight dynamic, people just try to lane all game long or randomly gank). I usually end up with top k/d ratios unless someone was really feeding the other team all game long, but I don't really see this just winning games. Should I be aiming to push a lane, or just gank once I feel I can? I mean, I have carried a few games like this when I've scored a really nice energized tibbers and got an ace or something, but not generally)

Thanks all. ^^

Just getting your fundamentals down is pretty important. Knowing when all are mia don't push a lane, when too many are mia don't run off on your own, warding when you see people running around for ganks, taking dragon when 2 or more of them are down and/or you have a team fight advantage, pushing a lane when they're over half way across the map.

Ashe is definitely a great character if you're looking for a champion that's able to impact a game. She can't dominate her lane per se but she's very able in harass. The only way she'd be able to completely own her lane is if she has a support that doesn't try to steal all her last hits in the same lane.

There's a certain point where playing conservatively stops being good. I play a very aggressive Ezreal. Forces some of the best laners out. It doesn't get a ton of kills but, it forces people away from gold and XP which benefits you entire team.
Also, once you push a tower down, go help other lanes. If your Annie is that powerful that you win your lane fast, a 1v1, you will most likely win.

Thank you to jhoijhoi for the sig, and all the dividers in the guide.

What level are you, and it's important to have at least four types of champions down. It doesn't matter if you lose or win because after some time I've learned how to carry the "bad" players by instructing them until they do it or just target stragglers on the side lanes before we go into a huge team fight, all the way to just simply warding, farming, split pushing, etc.

This will help you win even if it's looking really bad. Farming = Items leading to kills, which some of those are going to get KS'd feeding your whole team.

For the lower levels you should learn how to play an AP carry ( Mordekaiser, Akali, etc.) or an AD carry ( Corki, Caitlyn, Miss Fortune, etc), then during later levels start learning a support ( Janna, Kayle, Karma, Soraka) and then a tank ( Alistar, Amumu, etc). Once you got the hang of at least for types learn how to jungle. This might be kind of off-topic but it'll help you become a better player to be versatile and might even win a game for your team.

EDIT: Just read your bottom paragraph so what I said may be kind of useless. Other than that all I have for you is don't be afraid to switch lanes with anyone if it's not going as planned or just play passively to the utmost extent and farm farm farm. If you lose you tried your best by gaining money for items to be on par with the enemy team. =/ (I wish this game was a little less team oriented to some extent too.)

It isn't less team oriented because it was DESIGNED as a team game T_T

btw lol

Morde isn't an AP carry

he CAN carry but isn't really a carry himself

try sticking someone like Lux, Orianna, or Veigar in that slot :P
