He says lots of nice things about me that I have trouble believing.
And he doesn't usually believe the compliments I give him.
We're slowly getting better about taking each others compliments for what they are.
But we've always been a couple of low self-esteem idiots, so what else is new? XD

Well that's normal. I have a theory that attractive people considered to have low self-esteem are simply smart enough not to brag about their appearance. Otherwise they come off as narcissistic; a trait only valued by those too dumb to understand that there is more to life than looks. Question is do we acknowledge this, that "modest" people are truly modest or that they are narcissists deep inside smart enough to let the world paint them in whatever light it wants?
Beauty has its merits but brains is what should be rewarded in life. Truth, in terms of morality not the situation most average human beings find themselves in on a regular basis. T&A go a long way in some places. (Thinking more about offices not the local strip club).
Perhaps I'm being too realistic in terms of my thought process. Others might call me cynical, I'm certainly no optimist ( at least not 100% of the time).
