Meh, you are prob only gonna use one wave of it the barrage any way, i rather build more damage to get a better resulst for one barrage, than build so i can get many supbar barrages...

Ohh btw, Ie is godlike on kog :o

Trojan: The problem with that is that you really want either Zerker's for a MASSIVE boost to early game DPS or Merc Treads to compensate for Kog's complete lack of CC. :/

theBMB: Nashor's is really cost-inefficient and doesn't offer any extra impact on top of the increased attack speed, unlike Bloodrazor, Wit's End, or Malady.

But there's the problem - if we're getting CDR, then we're giving something up somewhere. Morellos? No, pure AP item = bad. Nashors? No, just like jebus pointed out. Glacial Shroud? No, shouldn't really be core. IBoL? Cheap, quick CDR early in the game, and you're sacrificing only 25% AS or MR/CC reduc, which are both easy to itemize in other ways.

So, if we're going to get CDR, I think IBoL is the best course of action.

However, is that necessary? Or should we just drop CDR altogether (aside from runes/masteries)?

I suppose Nashor's could use a bit of a buff, but I don't think you're point is completely true. Items like phantom dancer or warmog's offer no utility on top of their stat boosts and yet phantom dancer is extremely popular. The reason for this is simply because they synergize extremely well with the characters who buy them (namely AD carries who kite) and I think the same is true of Nashor's and Kog'maw. It gives him attack speed so he can pound you with more procs of madred's and malady. It give you AP so he can pound you with barrage and living artillery. And it give you CDR so that you're in barrage mode all the time. And it's actually slightly less expensive than phantom dancer.

I rather have Phantom on kog than Nashors...

Synergies way better in my opinion

PD gives you crit and movespeed. AD Kog'Maw uses it quite effectively. Nashor's on the other hand is fairly useless apart from CDR and AS.

In general, I think Mowen's guide has it down pretty solid.

I get Nashor's Tooth as an end-game item where I sell Malady.
At that point, team fights are so big and important that my Bio-Arcane Barrage active time is crucial, so I like to have my BAB activity maximized. Malady's reduction is irrelevant if your BABarrage turns off and you can't reach your target.

Also, @PotatisFarfar:

Someone's been playing AD Kog'maw. lolololol.

AD Kog isn't half bad now that he has an AD ratio on Living Artillery.
Get a Black Cleaver, a Zeal, merc treads or zerk greaves, vamp scepter, Infinity Edge, make a Frozen Mallet, then Phantom Dancer, and finish vamp into Bloodthirster.

Boom, got yourself a scary carry that has a built in Madreds and out-ranges Caitlyn.
