It would be a sort of in-game mentorship system, sure but I doubt Riot would ever care to implement such a system, and I'm not completely sure it would solve the problem of people thinking they are better than they actually are, especially since some of the people in 1600 were carried there.
Really all you can do is hope that you have some high ranking people to play with and ask them to show you the ropes.

An in game "boot camp" where higher ELO players could volunteer for ip rewards would be pretty cool.
You could even make it so the lower elo players actually "payed" the higher elo players in IP.
The problem i see with it, is with people who leave.
In any case, the system would/could be abused in some way if there were a reward, and if there is no reward, there is little incentive to tutor lower elo players.
Dan Dinh is someone who does this already actually.
He took 9 people under 1200 elo into a custom game, and basically taught them basic mechanics of the game, how to lane properly, and ways to get better specifically as players.
He was releasing a video series, but then he stopped cause of tournaments or something, and never continued it.

Tri lane for life.

Thats true. We cant be sure if it really works, but there are possibilities.

True. I thought about that: "Maybe people could only play to learn. No, I doubt if anyone wants to teach people for free."
Yeah, there'll be an abuse of the system. People are too dishonest.
This guy is my role model. I'd love to teach people things, but idk where to start. Where can I find players willing to learn?

Piss off.
On-topic I would like to get involved in some kind of mentoring thing eventually, because I remember in my noob days I had very few friends playing the game and I spent a while looking for some kind of mentory/friendy type thing and wasn't able to find one. Most of the posts on LoL forums are asking for pro players, and most of the posts on Moba (when I lurked) were playing on NA.
I don't think I'm really good enough to be writing guides and helping people yet though.
1,100 ELO vs 1,600 ELO players.
How would this manage if your good enough to play with them ? Having a 1600 team means they generally are better players ( just based on math ). Now the 1,100 team ( just based on math ) will have 2 or 3 subpar players in general. THIS is where the issue lies. Because when I played vs 1600's as an 1300 elo player it feels like your in a constant losing battle just due to 2 subpar players, thats the difference in the elo brackets.

You need to log in before commenting.
Then, this idea suddenly came up: "I wonder if this thing could win a match if his team was made only by high ELO people. Wait, that's it. There should be like a training, where you can play with and against higher ELO players so you'll get convinced that either you suck or you play well."
How it works:
Both teams are made by 1600+ ELO players and another one around 1100 ELO. The match doesn't change your current ELO, so people would not cry like babies if they lose. There'll be an IP reward too, just like normal.
Why should this be done:
To test players. People sure will learn a lot about strategy, team composition, builds and fights. And maybe less people will blame the team when they lose rankeds.
What do you guys think of it?
BTW, need a better name to it.
