What People Look For In a Guide
A fair point, but Cho has to telegraph his ult a lot. He either runs straight up to you with the intention to feast OR Flashes, which is even more obvious, though a little faster. If you get bursted by a nuker like Veigar, you can ult before the projectile hits. I'm not saying it's easy, but a lot of Tryndamere players have a pretty keen danger sense. It's part of learning the champion.
You're not wrong, that's not what I'm trying to say. I'm just saying it's not a reliable way to counter Trynd. You can't count on the fact that Cho can feast Trynd before he ults, or that Veigar or Nasus can burst him down faster than he can press R. Again, I'm not saying you said it's a surefire way to counter him, I'm just adding a limitation on your advice.
And like I said in my previous post, faking a killing blow is a strategy you can use to make Trynd blow his ult. This is also not a super-reliable strategy, so you're better off with just making sure you can CC him when he does ult.
Random nitpickiness: I don't see how Vayne could burst down Trynd. She's more predictable than all of the others you mentioned. Tumble and 2 silver bolt procs makes it pretty obvious she's about to finish you off.

Thanks to Nyoike for the sig!
The ult itself is pretty good, but trynd can just be shut down too easily. His utility is too often shut down by CC, and he really doesn't have a leg up on any other AD carries anymore. There's absolutely no reason to use trynd if you have gangplank or someone like lee sin. His jungle isn't outstanding, his ganks are ok, but his late game simply can't compensate for it anymore. He doesn't fit in the current meta, as solo top he gets destroyed by people like gragas or singed, or anyone for that matter. The only viable place for him is in the jungle, but you might as well just play gangplank if you want a carry; insane utility, team steroid, global ult, permaslow, ranged nuke... Tryndamere just has nothing that could make him competitive.
TL;DR
Play Gangplank. He's better.

Its OP, 5 Seconds makin him WTFBBQ trollolol
ofc ppl come with the "CC him" ****, but reality is different then theory, besides u need at least to "waste" 3 CC spells, and yes i say waste because your CCs do zero dmg on him to shut him down, 3 less CCs for the other 4 Enemy champions, and even then Tryn can just spin out of the danger, or its alrdy lategame and hes just WTFBBQLIFESTEAL WITH OVER 9000 DMG cuz he needs no surva(except a QSS) so he can go full offense.
Then ppl say "build *insert random Armor item here* sure, your Vayne is going to build Thornmail first item against a ENemy team with one AD Champ, problem officer 8D?

Doing good damage isn't OP. It's called being a carry. ****.
His lane is ****, his jungle is far outclassed, he doesn't have any spectacular damage anymore, just kite the ****er. I can only imagine what you thought of him before the nerfs...

I don't care about my rep, but you can +rep if you want to.
Beating tryndamere;
Burst Tryndamere's health down. He will be forced to ult before he might have ideally wished, or die. If you can CC him while his ult is on and he has 0 HP, this is ideal so he doesn't use his maximum damage potential.
Then, walk away while his ult is going. Flash if you need to, but kite him.
When it ends, kill him.
GG.

Actually his lane is fairly strong right now as a solo against a number of champions due to his ability to 1v1 and his Q offering sustain in lane now.

This is just exploiting the enemy player's mistake. There's no guarantee that a competent Tryndamere player will ever miss an ult in a game. It sure is possible, but it won't happen very often if the Trynd knows what they're doing. If I saw a Cho'Gath run up to me menacingly, I'd pop my ult before he ults me.
EDIT: You can also use the opposite technique to your advantage. Just like blowing summoner spells, you can sometimes scare Tryndamere players into wasting their ult too early, then just back off and they've lost their advantage. He'll pretty much have to let himself get zoned until his ult comes off cooldown.
So everytime you're at say 600-800 hp you'll blow your ulti if there is a Cho or another nuker around? Then you just wasted your ult when they weren't probably gonna attack you. A good Trynd player will get as low as 200 hp before using his ult (this varies if he is feelis he might get bursted down due to the initial damage output). But if you juust poked him down to that range, there is no way or need of him to pop his ult.
