Siphoning Strike and Parrrley are effectively buffed auto attacks. The phoenix passive is it's own strange beast. 'tis why it's all confusing and such.Edit, clarification: The phoenix passive procs an effect from an auto attack. I feel it acts in similar fashion to say... gangplanks
Grog Soaked Blade in this regard. Yeah? I'm leaning towards the theory that it applies after the auto-attack, not as part of it.

Keep in mind that spell vamp isn't on magic damage, it's on SPELLS, regardless of damage type.
