Here's my opinion on
Tiamat.
It's a great item, if you're behind.
It lets you push amazingly and farm very strong as well.
It's a situational item but, very strong if used right.

Buying Tiamat is a good way to ensure you'll deal no real damage in teamfights, and that means you're going to end up staying behind longer.

I'm half-competent, and I built Nashor's on Teemo when I played him. It offers a nice balance of attack speed and AP for his poison. I won't even mention the CDR. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's the worst item in the game.
To contribute to the forum, I'd have to say either Tiamat or Hexdrinker. Moonflair Spellblade is also pretty useless.
If you ignore the useless CDR (Teemo is a right click champ, and mushrooms shouldn't be a reason to waste money on an already item dependant champ in order to place more shrooms at a time.) then Nashor's is a worse, overpriced version of Malady.
Malady > Merc Treads > Gunblade or Bloodrazor > Frozen Mallet > two other defensive items (Wit's End+Atmas is my pair to funblade, and wit's end+banshee's for Bloodrazor) you don't really have room for Nashor's Tooth.
Tri lane for life.
Actually the CDR on nashor's is a big part of why you would buy that item.
If you don't want shroom fields and more darts then you should never buy Nashor's.

Kinda agree with Lugi here.
I mean, let's look at it's stats:
50 AD: The equivalent of a BF Sword
15 Hp/5: The equivalent of a Regrowth Pendant. Not that great, but for an item with that amount of AD, pretty good.
5 Mp/5: Around the equivalent of 2 Faerie Charms, also not the greatest, but it does help a bit on AD Carries who want to spam their skills early/mid game (like Ashe, for example)
The Splash: Obviously not the greatest, but can be niche for some abilities like Siphoning Strike, etc.
tbh I kinda wish they would get rid of the splash and just enhance the stats a bit more:
65 AD
20 Hp/5
15 Mp/5
something like that, altho 65 AD might be a bit broken.
:/
Tbh I would say Malady is horrible, there is only like Teemo, off the top of my head, who uses it well. Haunting Guise is better for any actual AP carry who wants to use it. The old Malady was so much better :c
Should give AD instead of AP too :c
The stats on Nashor's are actually far superior.
Granted it's a more expensive item, but meh, 1000 extra gold for over twice the AP of a Malady, plus 25% CDR and +10 MReg? I'll take that deal. All you lose is the proc, which is...eh, not all that amazing to begin with.

Most squishies also begin with 30 MR and never gain any extra without buying items, so 60 MPen is massive overkill. Even if they buy a null-magic mantle some of that MPen is still going to waste.
Sorc shoes + runes + 15% from offence should be more than enough early game, and late game you'll want a void staff anyway.
