What do you think? What buff/rework Master Yi needs, to be fully viable in the acutal metagame?

I think, adding CC to one of his spells would be the best way, because nearly any champ has CC. Even champs similiar to him ( Gangplank, Xin Zhao, Tryndamere, etc...) have CC.

But on which Ability you should add CC. And which form of CC?

Maybe on his Double Strike proc?

His W is bad currently.
I think he's fine otherwise.
If they'd just make it better he'll be much better.

He'd be better with CC or some kind of shield on it (removing the heal and adding other stuff instead).

Tbh i like yis skillset since is W is so fun to use. Blocking a veigar/caitlyn/annie/"insert randum burst champion here"-ult is a great mechanic :)
his earlygame stats will just need a boost because thats what he relies on in the jungle. Before noc/gp/lee were introduced he was fine imo because he could 1v1 pretty much any other jungle and thats what gave him huge strength in soloQ games. Nowadays its hard to do so and as a result his bad midgame will keep you down.
A little basestatboost would probably do the trick (along with the long awaited leesin/gp nerfs)

That are the base stats of Master Yi.(Wiki)

Actually, I think about a shield on Yi, that give you only higher magicresist and armor for a short time. At the end of the time. In a radius around Yi, enemy's will get stunned for 1 sec.

You could also add a passive like Garen's Courage on it.

That would add a stun and keep the main idea of the ability. (And no, that is not OP, look at Oranges^^)


I would call it "Wuju-Power".^^

the heal is amazing idk what u guys are talking about. he gains 250 resistance in MR AND armor. master yi is effectively a tank for 6 seconds. thats why triforce or atmogs is so good on yi.

Yi doesn't need a huge amount. He's one of those champions (like Katarina) who is quite frankly disgusting if the enemy team doesn't have enough CC. Yi's damage is out of this world. I think only his W could do with some form of change, but in all honesty a QSS is probably all I need to be viable as Yi... hell, I usually just get a Frozen Mallet+Wriggles and I'm tanky enough to survive a poorly timed entrance. That's the key to Yi, entering the fight at exactly the right time. Too early and you get gibbed, too late and the battle is already lost.

The thing is, CC can easily stop W and it makes him unmoveable.

Adding a passive like Garen's Courage to his Meditate(Hey, displayed ap-ratio is wrong) would make him more viable.

IMO there are 2 perspectives:

If you are playing as Master Yi, I think meditate should be switched with slow or something like Trynd's Mocking Shout. I wouldn't change any of his other abilities, R/E and passive are awesome for DPS style and Q is acceptable.

But if we talk about AP Master Yi, it would totally kill him if they remove Meditate, unless they add an AP skill like Sion's stun which would make him Sion like AP nuke.

Defeat is not the worst of failures. Not to have tried is the true failure.

AP Yi is bad anyways, so there's no need to care about that.
But shields and damaging effects on the new spell could also have AP ratios if that kind of thing would be preferred.

A shield with a 2,0 AP-ratio^^. Pure fun.

You could jump in with Alpha Strike, proc Lich Bane, activate the shield, proc Lich Bane, activate wuju, proc Lich Bane and activate ulit and proc Lich Bane.

Then run out with nearly no damage taken xD.

BTW: You could add to the shield something like Urgot's Terror Capacitor, which would add a slow to his attacks while the shield is active.
