I love how everyone just fails to come with any practical input on this matter ^^ I'm still waiting for someone to actually try it out. It's easy to gank with Exhaust btw. I know it applies to every ganker, but exhaust is great. Try it.
Ok, so you take Exhaust. This isn't Warwick specific nor does it really make sense since both Flash// Smite are better on him. I'm still waiting for some hard evidence. You act as though I haven't played Warwick before, which is untrue. I understand on hit effect WW is the best way to go, thats not the argument here. You still haven't provided any information on the subject of level 3 ganks.
Edit: Just feels like your avoiding the subject. For good reason since we all know WW sucks pre 6, just a tank minion.
+Rep me if i'm useful!
Glacial Shroud or Wit's end as a first "normal" item depends in my opinion of the enemy top you face.
I won't never build an early Wit's end against a Wukong. You need every armor u can to stay in lane. I'm not that good with WW so it may be an easy lane for good ww players, but I really felt I needed that armor (I also started with armor rume page for AP, with mpen, ap quint, armor yellow-blue).
Glacial shroud wouldnt be a so bad item against AP top as it provides mana (sustain+harass) and cdr (sustain+harass), dunno how wits end helps against a top AP.
Stupid question, may have been answered before but ... how do you spend your first 475 golds before going in lane ? classical cloth/boots + pots ? I tried Doran ring and it works quite nicely (i buy a second one after) as the Q has 1:1 ap ratio, go well with the 15 AP I have by quints.

English is not my native langage, I'm sorry about how painful to read my text are :c
Doran's Ring is fine for a laning start yes, I usually go Long Sword + health pot when I'm jungling, for faster clearing, and it also builds into Madred's Razors like Cloth Armor does.
@Busdriver210: I understand what you mean, other gankers are more independent gankers and can stun + do damage alone, the point is, Warwick can gank easily with a little team co-ordination, and since his jungle presence is so strong anyway, it's worth it to play him as a jungler. It's not hard to understand how to gank pre-6, you just need to know where the wards are, and then work your way around them. Any jungler has problems with wards, not just Warwick.

I don't build Madred's Bloodrazor early, that would waste it's lategame potential, when people get high HP.
Apart from lategame people tend to have at least a reasonable MRes, which gimps Bloodrazor somewhat. You counter this with Malady and Sorc Shoes to some extent, but I'm not sure that would be enough. And it doesn't matter when you get it, it still does the same proportion of their HP in damage.
(This is why it annoys me when people describe Bloodrazor as the anti-tank weapon - You want to get the most out of that 4%, so why pick on the guy with ~200 MRes?)
As Luther3000 said, try dropping Malady (it's kinda meh imo anyway) and replace it with Frozen Heart. More mana and CDR to spam Q? Yes please. Metric F-Ton of armour and an aura to ruin the enemy ADs day? Yes please.
Nom nom nom tasty AD Carry/AD Solotop.
