I still need to revise the Items Chapter of the guide butIneedtogettoclass.
Re: above comment
Banshee's Veil is a great defensive item too, to block CC skillshots aimed at your carry. Plus MR. MR is nice. Iceborn, while often taken as an offensive item, works well with BC b/c of the mechanic of E. Removed the 2nd Kindle since I removed Zeke's.
You take either Heal or Exhaust. Both are good, but you need Flash. It will save you if you get caught out and it's good for flash grabs.
You need to change your seals. I recommend armor, but gold is fine too.
You can't start Crystalline Flask with that many wards anymore. It might be worth adding how to start Faerie Charm.
Eleisa's Miracle is okay if you're running Heal but it's not recommended by most.
You should consider Mobility Boots on Blitz. Helps with roaming, warding and positioning for hooks.
Don't have more than one Kindlegem on you at a time. The 10% CDR does not stack. Build your Shurelya's Battlesong then a Locket of the Iron Solari. Or vice versa.
Zeke's Herald is quite situational. Not as good as it was Season 2 imo but still good on heavy AD comps.
Banshee's Veil and Iceborn Gauntlet are offensive Blitzcrank items and I don't consider them that great for a support. Frozen Heart is a worthwhile alternative, it's up to you though.
Max Rocket Grab, and not Power Fist. You want it off CD as much as possible.
You could also consider putting more points into your Defense tree. A good Blitzcrank is tanky.
Finally, Kage's Lucky Pick isn't a bad choice on Blitzcrank once you've got some resilience because of his good AP scaling. Twin Shadows is also a scary item on him.
Hope some of this helps.
ALSO, I would like to add images of the shields' particle effects if possible. If you want to help, start image dropping XD I'll do this by myself, but it may take a while since I own very few of these champions.
I do like that they include the

Strongly disagree.
If a person who has no idea wtf they're talking about makes a guide, they're just a blind person leading the blind.
Not to mention that a lot of people get the impression that a guide should be more-or-less right the first time it's published, which actually isn't the case. A bad guide can still become good, after all.
With all the recent changes in S3, people are looking to other people for guidance and only want what's going to make their game better immediately.
But you seem to find enjoyment in exploration, especially improving at your own pace, whether it be gameplay or theorycrafting. That is to be commended.
You know, last season, Blitzcrank was one of my top 2 mains in ranked (the other being Leona) and I just love finding out new things in S3. Last season was pretty much the same damn build no matter what support you took. The game for a support was pretty much static. S3 changes really got the game moving, especially for supports.
