If you duo with someone, I'd say not to play in the same lane. Spread the "we can do this!" players across the map. If you're ADCing, get Nick to play APC. Support is the most uninfluencial role, it was a waste to have Nick playing it; can't carry from a support role.
But you can do it! You're not losing huge amounts of LP, so the system doesn't think you deserve to be demoted.

What you are saying has substance jhoi, but keep in mind if you are a good duo bot you can completely crush the enemy ADc and make the game virtually a 3v5. When Psi and I go bot, despite us not really playing bot lane much, if we go one of our potent lanes (usually MF/Twitch Zyra) we almost always obliterate the other lane.
Thanks to TRUeLM, Plastictree, Scrax, Xiaowiriamu, foggy12, JahGFX, jhoijhoi, msrobinson, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, MissMaw, and me :) for the sigs!
Sup ADC is probably the best duo-carrying strat for gold ~ diamond. This is because as elo gets higher your teammates generally won't get 100% **** on (unless you're unlucky) and they know how much the ADC is worth mid~late game. In teamfights they'll protect you, so if you stomp your lane, get fed, you can single handedly carry the game.
From my (limited) experience in silver I really like playing bot lane duo and going for the strategy of stomping with kill lanes, snowballing into dragons and transitioning mid lane which often makes the enemy team start flaming and give up by 20 minutes. If you can get the other team to start flaming their bot lane it's pretty much over already. People in low Elo don't really know how to protect you but then again the other team oftentimes doesn't know to go for you and has no idea how to deal with kiting. Plus you can at least rely on peel from your support.
Picking a strong burst AD and support who are good in early and mid game is great for this. I like Ezreal/Graves + Sona/Leona. Those combos pretty much **** all over everything during early/mid game if they get even a little fed. Draven and Taric are also broken.
But I already told Wayne this in Skype many times. :P

In the case that you do put all your eggs into one basket (ie, one lane), the person with the higher elo should be ADCing, and the lower supporting. Like if I duo'd with PsiGuard, I wouldn't be the ADC. However, that's a little bit of an extreme example; I didn't realise Nick was only a tier above you. Just keep keeping on!
If the person with the higher elo (Nick, in this example) would be the better AD Carry, he'd play it :P He also picked
Thresh quite often simply because he wanted to play it and he enjoys supporting with him, I never forced him into supporting for me every game.
As far as picking kill lanes goes, I mostly pick
Caitlyn because she's my best AD and I'm most comfortable on her. Though you don't often stomp the lane with her, it is really easy to push the enemy back and poke them under tower while they try to cs, almost instantly winning your lane and gaining an advantage over the enemy AD. Also, I don't think
Ezreal is a great example of a burst AD, Luther.
Graves is, but my
Graves seems to be cursed because I'm 1-5 with him despite some pretty good scores 8D
I don't think supporting is GMD's best role, and although laning with a random also isn't all that great, I think we should probably try picking different roles (could also be top & mid, to have an influence on two out of three lanes). Other than that I should just step up my game I guess :P

Never let Nick play AD.

He has some of the highest early (level 2 especially) burst of any AD assuming you can land your ****. :P
It's worth noting that he also excels at poke and unlike other bursty ADs like Tristana/MF/Corki he has no real weakness or counter.
Game 54-56
Well, this whole thing is becoming somewhat of a joke, isn't it? Platinum my *** :P
First two games I played bot with GMD (who played
Last game I was supported by a random as GMD played
LP: 53
I don't think there's much wrong with my performances in these three games (though I did make some mistakes, such as not using
Maybe I am just really unlucky for being on another losing spree (especially as I can only remember one winning spree which lasted about 3 games).....
Maybe I am doing something horribly wrong every time, though I'm struggling to think of what that would be....
Maybe I am just making a lot of small mistakes which ultimately influence the outcome in a negative way...
Or maybe, just maybe, I am just generally not as good as I thought I am....
