It's almost 500 gold cheaper and gives you more survivability (keep in mind that's what we're buying it for, I didn't need any more damage items because I was dealing plenty). In this game, [[Frozen Mallet]] would've probably also been a good choice to kite [[Wukong]] (who jumped on me every fight) and keep him away from me (because, apart from [[Taric]]'s stun, there wasn't much my team could do for me, honestly), but I used the slow of [[Blade of the Ruined King]] and my [[90 Caliber Net]] for that. FM is not a bad choice considering [[Caitlyn]]'s range, I just like [[Warmog's Armor]] better :3 Edit: also, I forgot about red buff. First game I lacked any sort of synergy with my support [[Taric]] who would just randomly run in to stun the enemy [[Miss Fortune]] whenever I was pushed back or simply not in range to follow up, so every time I was forced to run after him while he was being killed and we just ended up both dying to MF, especially when their jungle Lee helped a couple of times. Second game I laned against a [[Draven]] mid (lolwut) who actually proved to be quite annoying, but after trading a kill with him early I eventually started winning the lane and got incredibly fed in the mid game teamfights. Unfortunately, most of my team wasn't doing too hot and the enemy [[Draven]] actually started dealing damage as they reached late game with two AD carries. From then on they just won fights rather easily, especially as a lot of fights were initiated before I even had the chance to poke the enemies down with long range spears.
