hello,

i hope this is the right place to post, is it?

just started playing lol and like it much :)

i started with coh'gath and think he's cool but now i switched to ashe beacause she is much easier to play i think.

now my question is if this itemset is ok. i tryed some building guides, but liked my own combination more.

if you have some emprovment advice i would be happy.

1. spirit of elder lizard (mostly because of the flaming, i like burning ice arrows XD)
2. zephyr
3. berserkers grave
4. the bloodthirster
5. phantom dancer
6. blade of ruined king

i focused on mana reg. health reg. and attack speed at the masterie and runes (i am lvl 8 so there arent really alternatives, are there?)

sry if there are some spelling or grammar mistakes, my english isnt the best ;)

best regards,

zeviroth

The top rated guides generally have good builds for you to follow.

But at your level, if you enjoy flaming arrows then go ahead and buy it.

For runes just avoid buying them until it level 20+

Berserker's Greaves, Infinity Edge, Statikk Shiv, Blade of the Ruined King, Last Whisper

Last item should probably be defensive. Warmog's Armor, Mercurial Scimitar, Banshee's Veil and Guardian Angel are all pretty good. Don't buy Mercurial if you can't handle using item actives though.
Thanks to Fatelblade for the sig!

To be a little more in-depth than Psi:

Start either boots + pots or Long Sword + pots. Your goal the first time you go back is to at least have Vampiric Scepter and Boots. The early Vamp will really help your sustain in lane, since you won't have lifesteal quints. From there, try to farm up a B. F. Sword and build into Infinity Edge. Upgrade your boots while building IE or after finishing it, depending on how the game goes. Then build a Zeal and upgrade it into Statikk Shiv; the GP10 element isn't worth getting by itself, ever. Here, check how much armor the enemies have. If your opponents are starting to stack armor, build Last Whisper. If not, upgrade your Vamp into a Bilgewater Cutlass and build that into your Blade of the Ruined King. Then do whichever of these you didn't already do.

For defensive items, Guardian Angel is usually the easiest to use. It doesn't help if your team is getting aced in fights, though; they'll just kill you again after you revive. Warmog's Armor is good for surviving burst and poke, Mercurial Scimitar is good for getting out of low-damage CC to avoid imminent death (stuff like Amumu's ultimate), Banshee's Veil is good for avoiding initiation moves (stuff like Malphite and Annie ultimates), and Randuin's Omen is generally good for 1v1ing other ADCs (because it slows down their attack speed when they hit you).

Interjecting question here, do you necessarily need a defensive item?

I have found that going full offence and then buying some more life steal to be more worth it. I get bt instead of BOTRK so i would normally buy blade last as the sixth item.

depends on the teams, if your team can fully protect you, then glass cannon is good, but if the enemy tanks and assassins are constantly getting to you in team fights then a defensive item will probably be necessary.

On any other ADC, I would have suggested Frozen Mallet, but with Ashe, I'd pick up something like a Warmog's Armor or Guardian Angel all the same.

If you want to go full roflstomping, an Iceborn Gauntlet is good for jokes. More ultimates, too.

Otherwise, double Bloodthirsters is usually the full glass cannon build.

But yes, normally you need defense. The meta right now is too much about champs that can dive past the frontline or are otherwise extremely mobile.

Every champ should probably buy at least 1 (maybe two if against a high damage team) defensive item. Armor if their ADC is fed or MR if they're AP champs are just wrecking. Situational.

If you're going against a smart team, they'll go gunning for you (the carry) every fight, so you need a little something to help from just getting one shotted.

Lifesteal is great, but it requires you to stay alive long enough to hit. If you're just getting burst to nothing in seconds... well, all the lifesteal in the world won't help.

I hate going against a team with Guardian Angel. "Hey, got the carry, now on to the... ah, ****."

Other than that, Lifebaka has a good breakdown of the defensive items. Buy damage, and maybe your 4th, 5th, or 6th item should be defensive, and should be built depending on how the games going.

Nothing worse than losing to an all AP (or AD) team because no one bought MR (or armor).

Wow, thanks a lot for your advices :)

I'll give it a try immediately!
especially the guardian angel and the icborn guntlets. think they really match my way to play ;)
and thaks for the armor explanation, its good to know how important it is to react on enemys behavior.
didnt gave that much tought until now, because i was busy eneought figuring out how to play at all ;)
(sidequestion: How do you get these item links? i mean that theres a description for the item when hovering the mouse over the name)

One more question: why shouldn't i buy runes until lvl 20+?

I'm meh on Iceborn on Ashe. You've got plenty of self-peel already with Volley and Frost Arrows, I don't think another slow will help you much. A combination of armor and HP would generally be better for defense, you're not mana hungry enough to benefit from that stat, and Volley's rank 5 CD is low enough that the CDR isn't necessary.

To get the item links, put the item name inside two square brackets. This way something like [ [Long Sword] ] (without spaces) will look like Long Sword.

Because you won't use tier 1 or 2 runes at higher levels. You can't buy tier 3 runes until after level 20, so it's largely pointless to buy any runes until you can buy the ones you'll actually use at level 30. Also, the rune recycler sucks.
