So I got my *** kicked by an AP Udyr

Not a single mushroom on the map outside of like 2 at the river either. But seriously, is this AP Udyr thing legit shit? Udyr's build: [[boots of swiftness]], [[rylai's crystal scepter]], [[nashor's tooth]], [[liandry's torment]]. He had a [[needlessly large rod]] too, and probably maxed [[phoenix stance]] then [[turtle stance]]. Like seriously wtf. I was so dumbfounded I couldn't even be mad. I was half tempted to go out and try this myself, it was actually pretty freaking hilarious. What do you guys think?[/quote]

I don't think there's a good reason to go AP Udyr. He was unstoppable because he got several kills in lane and a lot of farm. He probably would have been just as strong if not stronger had he gone AD or tanky. You could try it for yourself if you want though. Just because it isn't optimal doesn't mean you can't use it and have fun. I'm sure you could play AP Udyr at a reasonably high level if you really really wanted to main him or something. People main all sorts of crazy stuff in soloqueue and most of it can work.[/quote]

I was just struck by how hard Udyr was able to split push and tank with Turtle and how no one could really do anything about it since he'd just bear slap us and run. He literally did nothing but push all day and we had to stop him. He wasn't even that fed, around 3 kills and an assist once laning phase ended but had ridiculous farm cause of Phoenix AoE with a total 1.25 AP ratio on the aura. I think the Phoenix change during the Udyr changes really buffed AP Udyr and made it a fun gimmick build, but I know that's probably all it will be.
