It depends on the type of your champ. If your champ auto attacks a lot, they are usefull.
This, also it allows some champs to jungle way better if they have no sustain
Gave you a good laugh or helped? rep+ so i can know ;)

Thanks to TinyStar, Jhoi, Xiaowi, Virus, Bard and Arcana(eww)...for my signatures!
Elohell is like Irelia's stun: if your real level is equal or lower than the level you are in, you're STUNNED there forever. If your actual level is higher than the level you are in, you're just SLOWED in your way up.
Heres my
Shyvana guide! I will dance in their ashes

Yes, if you count Jayce in :D
Thank you jhoijhoi, Keondre, LaCorpse, The_Nameless_Bard, Arcana3, Apfeljack, Hogopogo, eddie199, Xiaowiriamu, and JEFFY40HANDS for the spectacular sigs!

I use life steal quints on
Jax and
Tryndamere on top lane for sustain and late game scaling. Problem I see with using them on anyone else is that they don't do much for most bruisers due to mediocre autoattack damage. AD runes just make for better early games. You can only really run them on champions who can make use of the life steal late game.

I tried them on
Tryndamere top and liked them quite a bit. I assume they would work pretty well with
Fiora as well. I saw Dyrus running a couple of them on
Kennen and it seemed okay (though I'm still not sure what kind of quints I prefer on top Kennen).
Overall I don't think the champion's autoattack range that's the deal breaker. From what I've seen, it looks to be more of a partner setup with a
Doran's Blade start that gives autoattackers enough sustain without pots.

Thanks to Minho for the sig!
Love them on
Nasus :)

they can work if you plan to lane out safely with someone that scales well (nasus gangplank jayce) in unfavorable matchups, but theyre only situational. id rather get bonus arpen/ad in quints to either make a play early on with the ad or scale well into the game with armor pen. its up to you.
I don't usually go for LS myself, but it depends on the AS and how often the champ will be in AA range, or even using AAs.
And then you factor in things like if they already have decent LS, abilities with LS, or if the build already supplies enough LS that the quints can be used for something more important.
