Also, an error in your masteries: You cannot put a point into Bladed Armor without 2 points in Tough Skin .

Take note that Runic Bulwark is no longer in the game. Might want to adjust your cheatsheet accordingly.

Hello critiquers, readers, and naut enthusiests. I KINGPUDDING have decided to pick up my old guide on nautilus and give it a REBUFF as it is needed due to the recent nerf on Titan's Wrath Q.Q. I will try to fix the issues brought up by readers and commenters to the best of my ability. There is one thing I might not be able to fix without A LOT of HELP. As far as guides go formatting is by far the hardest thing I have to do.

On the bright side these improvements have been made already.

Added Spirit Stone Vs Madred's Razors section due to the mixed comments about it.

How to counter jungle

Spawn times

Item changes

If anyone wants to take a crack at "fixing" or making my coding look more appealing please PM me.

I've no idea what form this guide was in when the first commentators made their votes, but what I see now is an ideal Nautilus guide and I see no reason for it to stand at mere +70% upvotes.

I've been thinking about getting Nautilus for jungle as I hit 6300IP, and when I saw him played in the LCS (even if by SK and lost).

Lots of useful tinfo and tips, for example, I did not know that W resets your AA timer, nor the fact that Blitz can't hook you if you throw your Q. And the coding was diversied and cool =)

Into the depths. +1

Yoo, so you requested a re-review from my review service. Sorry for the wait- i've been busy lately, and have not havetime to review guides as frequently as i used to.

Here are the notes that i ahve for your guide. Please note that the grade that's at the bottom does not necessarily reflect the actual quality of your guide, but is a reference for you to use to measure the relative importance of the points that i brought up.

Lots of little things to nitpick but I'll hit the things that annoyed me the most.

Fix your quints, AP is a joke.
Madreds is better then spirit of the ancient golem, you dont need to upgrade to wriggles.
A lot of your explanations are cut and dry, explain them more in depth.
Cheatsheet is too cluttered.
Warmogs needs to be in every single build.

I'll look at it more in-depth, but theres a lottt of little things that bother me.

Review:

Oh boy, dat cheat sheet -_-

Build 1:
AS Marks > Mpen Marks, you clear faster and make better use out of your shield.

Gold Quints suck. Get something that actually helps you in the jungle.

Spirit of the Ancient Golem rush is meh.

Abyssal first is meh.

Pretty much your whole sequence is 'meh'.

And a lot of your situational items are iffy.

Warmogs/Locket not being core is wrong. You're a jungle tank right?

Thornmail over Frozen Heart/Iceborn is 'eh' too. Thornmail is more of an aggressive item when the enemy AD either has to focus you or die, aka a tanky assassin item. Think Singed, he runs at your AD with a Thornmail. If your AD kites him, your AD dies. If he doesn't, he still dies. It isn't for Nautilus who has to protect his carries.

For your other full builds, an early Bulwark is terrible. Aegis is good early on, but Bulwark is so expensive and gives so little utility compared to other items that it's just not worth it.

Not maxing W by 9 looks like a mistake too.

Furor Enchantments aren't really for Nautilus are they? You aren't chasing or kiting or anything.

Times NOT play Nautilus
Quoted:
When your top deals NO damage such as Singed, Shen,or Malphite.

Makes no sense, because Singed actually DOES have damage, and Nautilus has a lot to begin with already.

Quoted:

If the team is strong against crowd control such as Trundle or can escape easily such as Riven.

Nautilus has some of the strongest CC in the game to lock people down -___- You'd WANT him in your team if they can escape easily.

Cons
Quoted:
Low Damage

Riiiiiiigghhhht.
Quoted:
Terrible farmer

No.
Quoted:

Can't counter jungle

Blatantly incorrect.

Runes

( Greater Mark of Magic Penetration)
Quoted:
This allows for Nautilus to dish out damage useful especially at early game.

And yet you state he doesn't do damage (which he actually does). Also, attack speed marks would help more because you get to apply more auto-attacks while W is active.

( greater glyph of scaling magic resistance)
Quoted:
This helps with ganking mid lane. And late game these glyphs will save you from killer spells.

How exactly will this help with ganking?

( Greater Quintessence of Gold)
Quoted:
This seems weird at first but after looking into it it really helps. If you fall behind in kills and assists. But if you get ahead of the team you can get fed even more from them.

No. Get Quints that are actually useful in the jungle.

( Greater Seal of Scaling Health)
Quoted:
This is a possible start for jungling with nautilus because it helps with Titan's Wrath.

Try it. I dare you.

( Greater Quintessence of Ability Power)
Quoted:
You have good AP ratios and 15 ability power at start comes handy during Jungling/Ganking/Laning. This can also work for dealing damage but, the downside is risking extra gold.

Nautilus doesn't have good ratios and doesn't improve your clearing at all. The downside is risking extra gold? Well, if you went subpar quints in the first place, then yeah but tbqh 15 AP will benefit you WAY more than what 3gp/10 would.

( Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed)
Quoted:
I understand that people love to use this on Nautilus but, I see it like this. Why waist maybe 3000 ip on quints when you can get Boots of Mobility and have a different set of quints that can help you and your team. It's viable, I just don't like it.

WHAT?!?! Oh, *waste. And last time I checked, gp10 Quints don't help your team at all. MS to actually GET TO your team would help literally infinitely better.

( Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed)
Quoted:
This is another standard jungle rune that speeds up jungle clear time. But most of naut's damage comes from his abilities. And Wit's End solves the issue of attack speed late game.

Uh huh. Yeah. You don't start with a Wit's End at level 1, and you need something to improve Naut's ****ty first clear. These improve his clear. Mpen does not.

Masteries
Where's Summoner's Resolve . Where's Summoner's Insight .

@ Defender
Wat are you smoking. This thing is ****ing OP for level 1 teamfights.

@ Relentless
Reduces the duration, not the amount.

Items
@ Randuin's Omen
Quoted:
And then it helps the whole team with it's passive effect in teamfights allowing your team to attack faster

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

And I'll stop here. Not even going to read the rest.

Reason is your explanations are incredibly half ***ed. The WORST PART is that it's half ***ed to the point where IT'S NOT EVEN CORRECT (see, above).

But hey, I'm feeling nice, so no -1 despite the poor item choices and horrible explanations.

• Should use AS marks and madred’s razors on jungle naut
• The gold Quints don’t make a difference on naut, you’re a CC-bot. gold doesn’t help you with that.
• Don’t think furor is viable on naut, captain or homeguard are the ways to go.
• I don’t think abyssal scepter is core, it’s hardy even viable on jungle nautilus.
• Don’t get shard of true ice on naut ever.
• I wouldn’t get all that AP stuff on naut because you lack the gold to go in when you do it. Let the carries do the damages yo.
• Don’t get spirit visage on naut
• “I would get this item if the enemy deals a lot of damage” I lol’d.
• Sometimes you can get dredge line lvl 2 for lvl 2 ganks. Also when invading getting it at lvl 1 is ideal(because why not, you’re nautilus one of the strongest lvl 1 champs in the game)
Overall not a very convincing guide. Pretty meeh.

Hello! I promised to check your guides so I did! Very good build in fact with alot of info and everything (mostly) makes good sense! Even though the layout is "average" you've spent alot of time making this build, fixing counters and all that stuff! Good build!

(+1 if it doesnt appear!)
