the higher you get the fewer tryhards you will find ;)
i think people in higher elo are a little more confident and just play what they wanna play instead of overfocusing on counterpicks that lose the game in the long run
alot of high elo players have main champions that they know every matchup/situation with so they can fall back on them when they are having a bad day.
apart from that there is global knowledge, eg. when will their jungler gank, do i need a ward vs that jungler/midlane, do they have globals etc...

Gave you a good laugh or helped? rep+ so i can know ;)

Thanks to TinyStar, Jhoi, Xiaowi, Virus, Bard and Arcana(eww)...for my signatures!
Elohell is like Irelia's stun: if your real level is equal or lower than the level you are in, you're STUNNED there forever. If your actual level is higher than the level you are in, you're just SLOWED in your way up.
Heres my
Shyvana guide! I will dance in their ashes

As of now I'm in Gold II and I can finally see people becoming better players. People don't make that many mistakes any more and you can see people actually focus on objectives and group for important things. I would say from my experience, Silver-Gold III is the same.
Hopefully when I make Platinum I'll find an even bigger challenge. :)

Epen,
but I guess overall it is mechanics.
I once played a normal game with Wintermond, I was Kha, he was Vayne.
We both lost early on with 10 deaths (srsly dat Diamond got 10 deaths lol).
But later on his mechanics just got him back into the game, like no Riven ultimate ever hit him etc.
Also the decision making is way more different, I can see that when I play with Silver mates (as a Gold dude), but I can also see it when I play with Plats/Diamonds, everytime I play there I have this feeling of 'wait, why did I not have this idea ?_?'

The difference between Gold and Plat is mostly lane confidence and overall game sense. A good player will know exactly when he can go aggressive on you and win a confrontation - for example, if a weak, low Gold player is playing
Shen vs.
Jayce, he's likely to turn it into a farm lane, probably fall behind in lane, and become a liability for his team. I, on the other hand, am likely to try to all-in the Jayce at level 2 with
Vorpal Blade,
Shadow Dash, and
Ignite, because I know I can come out on top if I play it correctly (If my profile says I'm still Gold I, it's wrong, btw.)
Mechanics improve drastically between Silver->Gold and Gold->Plat. I would definitely not agree with the statement that most Gold players have near-perfect CS. Most average around 60 CS in ten minutes, from what I've seen. Plat players typically hit 70-80, while Diamond players are near-perfect. There are, of course, exceptions.
Mechanically, there isn't a huge difference between Plat and Diamond - it's more game sense. It's the difference between "Oh, their
Lulu pinked tribush to kill my ward, so their jungler is going to gank us soon. I'm going to back up." and "Oh, it's 3:30 and their
Hecarim will be ganking soon. The enemy duo is playing more aggressive, so we're probably getting ganked, even though we have no vision on tribush. I'm going to back up."

From what I've seen in streams and stuff, its like instinct and overall game sense. There are these diamond players who will predict where the enemy is and what they are going to do and I have no idea at all why.
Pretty much what I expected, thanks for the answers :3
Jebus' answer was really good and explained things well. I disagree with the 60 cs mark tough.
At least in bot lane, It's common to have +80 cs in 10 minutes. I aim for 100 cs pre 12th minute at last generally and I see many trying to reach that.
