I watch streams all the time and I have to say I haven't learnt a thing because they do exactly the same as I do in the game, I have even watched the pro lol championship series a bit and I haven't learnt anything from them because the only thing they teach is teamwork and teamwork is something very much lacked in LOL below Pro play

When I do manage to find a team I will be able to learn from them because the whole team will have to as well, if that makes sense.

I know a few good friends who are excellent players but they are always busy and I don't wish to disturb them so much.

And here we see a great example of totally overestimating oneself.
So the pros do exactly what you do ingame? Then why the hell arent you at least Diamond 3, yet?

Hey, this is the internet, not everybody is going to like you, and this thread probably isn't going to help that problem. You have to accept that.

Now about mentoring:

These mentors are spending and using their own time to help mentor others (including you), and so you have to show them a certain level of respect. I'm not saying that you weren't showing the mentors respect, but how to you expect somebody to teach you when you don't know what you want to be taught? I know you think that you should've had someone that doesn't need your asking to know what to teach you, but keep in mind that this is their own time, and that teaching you is already time-consuming enough, let alone finding out what they are going to have to teach you. Also, after your reply to your mentor at the time, reposting your request and saying "Guess I post again and hope" is very rude and disrespectful to your mentor. Vynertje may have a been a bit rough (no offense) with his response, but seriously some of your questions were ridiculous. Many of them could've been answered by simple research on the internet. "How do I know which items to buy for champions?", you are on MobaFire, a league of legends guide site, search up a guide and look for items. Many of the guides here can answer your other questions like How do I ward, or What is the best way to play each lane?

What I'm saying is that the people here aren't so much frustrated and annoyed by your lack of knowledge, but by your lack of interest to take initiative. Mentors are definitely meant to help you, yes, but they aren't supposed to have to tell you everything. You have to research these things yourself. I researched myself how to jungle at lvl 5. You can't expect mentors to just tell you everything and answer all your questions, especially the extremely broad ones like "How can I improve as a player as a whole?". They will help you, but you have to help them first.

No those were me being very hurt that when I asked for help, people turned around and basically said I am not worth s**t to teach. of course I am going to be upset after hearing that so many times and I know others would be too even if they wanna give a strong persona of "I dont care what others say"

Simple Answer: I don't actually play Ranked due to my time restraint and commitments, I have to go to work, I have other hobbies I enjoy and although I do still love LOL I find it hard to get the time in to do such things - most people probably got level 30 within a month, I took 4 months because I was on and off.

The biggest point of the conversation about Fiora and the build, was that Fiora is a bad champion overal. It is true, in comparison to other champions, Fiora is incredibly weak. It was nothing personal, you don't have to say: "Thank you sirs may I be treated badly again", but you can try to understand their point of view and say: "Ok, you have a point. I however still love Fiora and I will keep playing her, but I understand that she is not that great of a champion."

Actually I did do that, I tried to explain why I wanted to do a build for Fiora but I was merely met with "No, Fiora sucks don't bother, your build sucks, you suck" and as I said I am a good soul and I do listen to everyone more than they might realize but as I said, if people are going to honestly think they can tell me I am pathetic and then expect me to respect their opinions when they clearly showed none for mine then they are going to be in for a shock. thats not to say I am not listening to them.

Okay ,so you try to have an intelligent convo with them and try to explain your viewpoint.
Now, I am really wondering, since I have started reading this thread. Every comment made about you is pretty much being insta denied. Don't you think that you are forcing your viewpoint on others while you, yourself, think that its just stating your viewpoint?

I can tell you, I am ''mentoring'' 5 new LoL-Players who just started and got level 30 etc. They ask me tons of question, I explain them what to build. They hear me, they say yes. What do I see next? They do what THEY thought was right.
I guess that you are the same. Since LoL is a game, and in a game there is always someone better, people do not really want to be taught until they change their mindset. Even if you deny that fact, it doesn't seem so.
The mentors, that I do not know, have way more, and I mean it WAY more, experience than you. They explain you their point and I can already see how you just throw that viewpoint away and give them your own, because you think it is smart or something, hoping for them to tell you 'Oh wow! MyBloodisBlack, you are so smart, why didn't I think of this. Honestly, you will become a great player'.

And srsly. I never had any contact before with you.
But you say you are a caring and nice person.

^did I say that?

I have never in my life turned around and said I know more than experienced players, not a chance however if one of these "Experienced players" attitude is to basically be "I got more experience thus you are stupid and your opinions are invalid" then I do have an issue with them, they may be smarter but doing your best to make sure those below you are made to feel like that then I will stand against them and put them in their place.

I firmly believe respect is always earnt and not inforced or demanded and those who think they can try to inforce it are not worthy of my respect, I have met some people on this forum who have great experience and have shown me kindness and most importantly haven't sat there and demanded I respect them cos they are better, they proved they are better, they gave me advice when I was wrong and complimented when I managed to do something right and thus THEY have earnt my respect.

What does it matter if you have a "good soul" if you simply do not understand certain things of the game? Those things are completely lose from eachother. If a peaceful Buddhist would play LoL and suck monkeyballs and ask others if he plays Zilean AD right, then people will also call him a noob and say that he sucks. The peaceful buddhist however will laugh about it and see his mistakes and try to improve. But it is also the other way around. If a pro-player wants to make friends, but all he does is showing his amazing league skills, people will also abandon him, not making friends with him because all he does is show off.

I also am repeating myself here: Respect needs to be earned. If people are jerks to you, then don't respect them, it is that easy. However, listening is a different story. The biggest jerks in the universe might actual have some good points and listening to them might be worth while.
Change is gooooood
