Because [the priest hero power] doesn't do anything for your early game besides mining cards with northshire cleric. For his hero power to be effective you need to have at least a 4-5 hp minion and trade with your opponent and these minions only come around 4-5 mana (Yeti, Shieldmasta, Lightspawn), the only exception being Injured blademaster.
Healing big creatures is always nice, but you have to get to them and your hero power will not help you with that.
Yeah, no. You have no freaking clue.
It's arguably the best ability in the game.
Auchenai Soulpriest also helps.

I.e: Mike Rogers doesn't think it's rape unless the victim knows (s)he has been raped. Sounds legit.

Let's not go overboard, it's good, but it isn't the best one, atleast not without card synergy. You need stuff to make it work, unlike the Warlock ability or possibly the Paladin/Mage one.
Allow me to reiterate: It's arguably the best ability in the game.
I'm not arguing that it is.
What I will argue on the other hand is that it's one of the best in the game.

Please make a proper post if you're gonna make one.
I could just as well have responded with "Yes it is." and I would have been equally as right as you were.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.

^ What's the difference between "You have no freaking clue. It's arguably the best ability in the game." & "No it isn't arguably the best ability in the game." in terms of how 'proper' the post is?
In other news I just had a Rogue deck in Arena with two legendaries and a pretty good curve (as far as I could tell anyway :P) and I managed to play so horrible that I ended 1-3 x_x

Proper reasoning has been provided already.
I could make a proper post myself too if requested, but I didn't feel the need to repeat what has been written already.

Abilities are good at different things and in different situations. However, if we just want to rank them on merit alone with no card interactions, I'd say it would look like this:
1. Warlock
2. Mage
3. Paladin
4. Rogue
5. Druid
6. Priest
7. Shaman
8. Hunter
9. Warrior
No one with a brain would argue it's the best. We're just arguing that it's not the worst, aka mid range. Which it is. It has a lot of utility and it does interact with the board.
1. Warlock
2. Mage
3. Paladin
4. Rogue
5. Druid
6. Priest
7. Shaman
8. Hunter
9. Warrior

Yeah, without card interactions it's not great, but considering the card interactions there are I still think that it could be argued that it's up there with the Mage and Warlock.
My list would look slightly different:
1. Mage
2. Warlock
3. Paladin
4/5. Druid and Rogue
6. Priest
7. Shaman
8. Hunter
9. Warrior
