[/columns] [color=#e9b986][size=5]What prompted you to make your guide?[/size][/color] [list] [*] I was taking US History over the summer and there was a lot of free time, but unfortunately I didn’t have any internet access (except for lunch where we went to Subway). After beating Kingdom Rush and various other games, I was bored out of my mind and I decided that making a guide would be pretty fun, and Ahri seemed like the obvious choice since most of my games were played with her. I would type a bunch of code during the day and test it at home and it helped time pass real quick![/list] [color=#e9b986][size=5]How did making a guide improve your League of Legends experience?[/size][/color] [list] [*] It helped me expand my game theory and mechanics in that I had to consider all possibilities in my guide. All of a sudden, I turned from a guide follower to a guide maker. Why is Rod of Ages weak on Ahri? Flask or Doran start? What do I build versus Kassadin? My guide has really made me consider some of the more intricate parts of the game. My guide also made me really good at Ahri so now I have someone I can play with confidence in ranked, thankfully.[/list] [color=#e9b986][size=5]Did you ever think your guide would hold the #1 spot?[/size][/color] [list] [*] I can tell you with confidence that I did NOT expect the guide to become #1 when I first started on it. I still remember asking my friends to proofread my guide in the hopes that I’ll one day be the #2 Ahri guide on MOBAfire. When I climbed to the #1 Ahri guide, I was ecstatic. When it eventually held the spot of the #1 guide on the whole site, I was pretty much in a state of shock. That’s just wacko.[/list] [color=#e9b986][size=5]Do you have any advice for other guide writers?[/size][/color] [list] [*] If you want a guide to be successful, you need to put in a lot of hard work and passion. You need to provide good content as well as making it attractive. No one wants to read a big chunk of text. You also should be constantly updating your to fix mistakes, add recent patches, and input suggestions from commenters. Your guide might rise fast at first, but if you don’t keep it fresh, the number of viewers will plateau.[/list] [color=#e9b986][size=5]What keeps you coming back to MOBAFire?[/size][/color] [list] [*] There are plenty of reasons to keep logging on each day. I have a lot nice conversations with a whole bunch of really chill, nice people. There are also those times where I just feel like going to various new guides and providing various suggestions to improve their guides. What was the experience like when you started, and what is it like now?[/size][/color] [list] [*] A little over 2 years ago I decided to try LoL since all my friends were playing it. I spent most of my games playing with my level 30 friends…and you can imagine how those games went for me. I saved most of my IP and only played free week champs for the first 14-ish levels (gotta buy those runes!). The great thing was that there wasn’t really a meta at my level. I even played Teemo support once back then and I’d probably never do that today. These days I just can’t queue up for a normal game and go like Leona top or something. I fed a lot, but I was having a ton of fun and no one cared that I was a total scrub.[/list] [color=#a8bbf2][size=5]How did Ahri charm you? Why do you like playing Ahri?[/size][/color] [list] [*] Ahri was released a few weeks after I began playing LoL. By that time, I was kind of tired of always being so far behind all my friends in terms of experience and skill. I decided to pick up a new champ and become totally boss at playing her to show everyone that there was something that I could actually be more knowledgeable in than anyone else and that happened to be Ahri. When I tried her out in free week, I was actually consistently getting good scores for the first time and that pretty much led me to choose Ahri. Also because she’s a foxgirl. When Riot releases a foxgirl, you simply can’t NOT play her. When there’s a choice between Ahri and someone like Urgot (sorry Urgot mains), it’s not really hard to choose.[/list] [color=#a8bbf2][size=5]What’s a memorable moment you had playing League of Legends?[/size][/color] [list] [*] Once I was playing Ahri around level 15 and I was against a Prestigious LeBlanc and I was terrified of laning against her(skins were serious business back then). When the game started, I told my team about how scary she was and this really nice Alistar said that it’ll be fine and helped me take a lvl 1 blue buff to help me out in lane (we had no jungler). By the time I get back to lane, she’s level 2 and she proceeds to 1-shot me. I die a few more times, but the Alistar was always really nice about it. We take it into late game and we actually ended up winning! A more recent moment would be when our ranked team managed to beat a team made of 3 diamonds and 2 plats in the quarter-finals of a tournament in a super-intense match. Truly, truly outrageous.[/list] [color=#a8bbf2][size=5]When do you have the most fun playing League of Legends?[/size][/color] [list] [*] Playing with friends! It’s so much fun to be with a group of friends doing crazy stuff on our ranked team like going 5 splitpushers while we’re all yelling on Skype. Solo queue and ranked just isn’t really fun since everyone has expectations of you and everyone gets pissed so fast.[/list] [color=#a8bbf2][size=5]Do you have any goals for the new season?[/size][/color] [list] [*] This season I have my sights set on Platinum, but even if I don’t get to it, that’s fine by me. Honorable mentions to Starcraft 2, Maplestory, Civilization V, Binding of Isaac and the Clannad VN, particularly the route with Kyou Fujibayashi.[/list] [color=#acdd9f][size=5]Who is your favorite superhero, and why?[/size][/color] [list] [*] Well the worst superhero would have to go to Florida Man. He always seems to mess things up. The best superhero goes to Lelouch. I could say why, but it’d be a massive Code Geass spoiler.[/list] [color=#acdd9f][size=5]If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?[/size][/color] [list] [*] I went to Japan this Summer and it was amazing. I would definitely go there again if I could choose. For an anime fan like me, it’s just so ideal.[/list] [color=#acdd9f][size=5]Do you have any funny stories from when you were a child?[/size][/color] [list] [*] Once when I was about 5 years old, I was feeding a bunch of ducks some bread at a lake. Well, as soon as I ran out of bread, they all started chasing at me and biting my jeans and I was terrified. Whenever I think about it now, it’s just amusing to picture 5-year old me running around a lake, bawling, while being attacked by a dozen ducks.
