For one measly example, I've played Lee Sin support and shit on people in my tier. Regardless, it isn't about the champ. It's about the player who picks teemo and doesn't know how to auto attack when they come into range, or blind the adc in fights, or generally does nothing but get killed and die, or the Shen who goes in, gets a double taunt and doesn't see your health bar is at 100 hp. Or the idiot who goes Ashe support and spams arrows, taking cs, missing the enemy, dying profusely, not warding, and generally just playing support because they didn't get adc. Seriously though, does anyone actually use ANY of the supports on his list? Apart from Karma and Annie literally every single one is like trash tier support.[/quote]

The worst thing is that any legitimate support easily counter these outputters by protecting their mate with shields and/or heals, making any damage output worthless over any period of time longer than the cooldown of their abilities. And if it doesn't become worthless, it only ends up feeding the support, who doesn't even need the gold to begin with, and they accomplish their goal of skipping the supportive role and becoming another AP carry or the like on a team that would much rather have the damage output of an AD carry. 2. They offer a utility unprecedented by other supports. This is always the argument one gets when groaning about [[Nidalee]]. Apparently [[Bushwhack / Pounce]] are "basically free wards" they say. Not true. Any real ward keeps the enemy visible for as long as they're present in its rather large field of vision, not visible for a measly 2 seconds only IF they trigger it in the first place. [[Zilean]] has longer ranged damage than other supports because he can attach his [[Time Bomb]] to allies and enemies. So does [[Lulu]] if you attach Pix using [[Help, Pix!]] onto anything that is targetable and then use [[Glitterlance]] to send a shot from Pix. In fact, [[Lulu]] is just a better [[Zilean]] all 'round; both have speed, but one ([[Lulu]]) has a silence; both have a delayed ranged attack that attach to targets, but one (again: [[Lulu]]) has a dual slow and damage output that is not restricted by a timed detonation, both have an ultimate that can save teammates, but one (for the last time: [[Lulu]]!) prevents that death in the first place and doesn't require the death of your ally to be at all useful. In fact, most other abilities that are supposedly unique to that kit can found in another, but only better to the point of making it totally unnecessary!
