What really grinds my gears... (Not Lindsay Lohan)

Hi everyone,

I'm just a casual player who is actually in Bronze II and who feels that he could go a little higher, like silver... I don't overestimate my skills, I just think if I could be matched with people who stay in games, I would be able to climb a little.

That's my intro, now let's go to the point I want to talk to you about: Countering...

Everytime I read the word counter in the chat, I feel like « Whoa, this guy got it all set, he's really a good player ( sarcasm here)». I think that countering exists to a certain level but you can always be a better player than your opponent and still beat him, even if he's supposed to counter you. I have the impression that all these countering theories are like frightening stories that only scares 12 years old kids. They're here to stay, they're gonna pass from person to person and in the end, it will be deformed. It usually happens to me that two different players have opposite views on who counters who.

Even if you use all these Elo…

My thoughts on: Twisted Fate

I recently bought Twisted Fate and I am really surprised at just how fun it is to play as him, the sole reason for me is his W abbility "Pick a Card" (and a few other reasons).

It's also the main reason I believe why is difficulty is all the way up, the constantly shifting cards are what also make him extremely fun. Having to always look above his head (or the ability icon, tough this is kind of hard in 5v5 teamfights) and not knowing if you pressed the W key to late or to early making it a real gambit from not knowing what card is going to come up first and makes it damn good fun as a pose to other champions abilities who you just click on an enemy or just click and it happens like always getting really boring really fast (tough there are other champions with different versions of abilities, like Rengar). Also using Pick a Card and locking it on Gold Card right when it's necessary (to lockdown a fleeing champion or one who's chasing you) and then getting the kill or the escape is dam…

The "Solo Queue" Attitude

You queue up for a game of ranked, and immediately request mid. You're fourth pick, but no one else seems to want to go mid. So it comes to you and you lock Kassadin. That's when fifth pick decides that now is the time to say "I go mid". Try as you might, you can't seem to convince him that you called before him, and picked before him, and last pick always is support anyway. So you say fine, 2 mid, and try to get one of your teamates to dodge. No one does, and you play a game with 2 mid, constantly telling the enemy team to report your lanemate.

You've Decided To Not Win That Game.

Yes, the other guy was in the wrong initially. But by stooping to his level, by refusing to adapt, and by stirring trouble within your team, you've changed your chances of winning from 10% to 1%. Kassadin support is awful (Trust me, I've been in that situation). But two mid where both players are actively trying to screw each other over, not to mention an abandoned adc, is worse. To a certain degree, you d…

Weekly Diamond Jungle Musings - When to Take the Buffs

Hey guys, Lasty back again with another Jungle blog. Today we are going to look at the all powerful Red and Blue buffs. When should you be selfish with them, and when should you dish them out to your teammates. The answers may surprise you, let me know what y'all think in the comments section!

BLUE Buff: Blue buff gives energy/mana regen and cooldown reduction to the person that kills it. Blue buffs after the first one are generally donated to your mid lane so that they can sustain their mana in lane etc. Lets get the obvious ones out of the way so we can focus on some times to take blue that might not be so clear.

#1 Your mid laner doesn't use mana ex: Zed, Katarina, or Kennen. In this situation feel free to take all the blues. If you chose a champion like Zac or Lee Sin you may want to give the blues to your top/adc/support if one of them is doing well.

#2 Some people if they counter-jungle the enemies first blue will then donate their blue to the mid laner. This isn't ac…

Theorycrafting, anyone?

I have been working on builds for a while. I main top lane, so many of the ideas are for top laners, but I do builds for friends too. I do some builds that are a bit out-of-the-box, but that's what theorycrafting is. I would love feedback.

My builds

Thanks,
