TT Bum Rush

So my friends and I are bum-rushing TT for faster IP XD

Bum-rushing is going into an intermed bot game in TT with 3 ADCs and blasting your way through bottom lane. We can end the game between 5:30 and 7:00 at our skill level and no prep, and we get 28 IP for a beginner game. It should be ~40 for an intermediate.

So far, what we've learned is that you want champions who have AoEs that scale with AD. The problem is our best choices for that (with the three of us; the fourth person has good champs for this) are Ashe and Graves. I'm currently using

Hajime

This is my first time posting a blog on any gaming site. I consider myself an average player, and I always look for ways to improve. That's why I joined this site, and the guides posted here have helped me IMMENSELY.

These days, I mainly play Diana mid or in the jungle, and if I can't do that, I'll usually take Riven top,

Getting a little fed up with this LP system...

I am not 100% sure how the LP system works, but it is starting to piss me off. I recently played a game with Ezreal which lasted around 55 minutes I believe. We ended up winning and I only got 6 LP. Then I play another game with Ezreal and lose after a 20 minute surrender. (We had a DC) I ended up losing 14 LP.

This isn't the first time it has happened either. It is a common trend I will win a game and get around 6-9 LP max but then end up losing 10-15 after a loss. I am not really complaining, just sorta frustrated...

Fascination

Just some thoughts I felt like sharing. Without further ado...

Like a fair number of players, I want to climb up the MMR/ELO ladder, get into better matches and play with and against great players. But why? An important question. For me, it is out of fascination with the mechanics and strategies behind high level play. Things that are absent in the pellmell chaos that is whatever MMR my normals get matched at.

I'm under no illusion that I could play at that level. Yet. In lane the best I would manage against a great player is to farm, and poorly, and I would be largely clueless in the wider picture. Sadly, I've always learnt best by diving in the deep end and floundering back up to the top. I doubt such would work in lane, getting crushed repeatedly by someone who far outclasses me teaches me little. But in the team oriented portion of the game, I should progress in leaps and bounds. So the best bet for me seems to join a MOBAFire inhouse. Just as soon as I get a free friday afternoo…

Newb Journey: Day 5

Today was a strange day playing.

I spent much of the early day watching videos about not doing stupid things, like chasing into fog and, over extending myself, and not feeding the enemy, but today I ended up doing all of those things all day.

Perhaps i have hit the first of many walls. I hit level 9 today which was nice though. Lets skip all this and go right into the recaps.

Game 1: 8/2/2 - Co-op vs. AI - Victory
Warm up game, did better than I expected. I had a very strong team that communicated well. It went fairly quickly. Perhaps the fastest of the games vs. AI I have ever played.

Game 2: 8/10/8 - Classic Normal - Victory
Straight forward game, went bottom with a Soraka which was nice to have support. Did well but not super well as we both were pretty new and fed some early kills. The game was pretty nice though we ended up winning with some clutch tower pushes towards the end.

Game 3: 23/12/11 - Classic Normal - Defeat
Now you are asking yourself. 23/12/11 and you still los…

Hello, Mobafire

Hello everyone who may view my account for no apparent reason; I am SolarTiger. I hope to change my summoner name to this, but currently it is SolarClawTiger. If the name is taken, i hope to be able to change this name and that one to an even better name in the future.

I do play league, and just as a reference my favorite champions are Vladimir, Evelynn, Anivia, and Rammus. As you can see, I am more pron to the AP and Tank characters; but I do have some good Hybrid and AD characters. I can play any lane, except the jungle...No matter how many times I practice, I don't think I will be an effective jungler in Solo que; due to team mates not communicating. Then again, I am not the best ganker anyway; so I think I should just keep practicing as much as possible for Jungle to see if I ever do get better.

Currently, I am playing Dominion more often than normal or ranked games. I occasionally do play ranked 3s, but unless i have a partner for ranked 5s I refuse to do a solo que. I always wa…

No ranked for now...

Just had enough of the idiocy on ranked, i'm getting better teams on normal games -_- So taking a break, probably 1-2 weeks from ranked.

Meanwhile i'm back at guitar playing... checked some random community free guitar stuff in my neighborhood. Got some band proposal and a gig proposal at some fest nearby... lol that was fast, eventhough i suck at guitar lately, not practicing since about started university =/

Also a little merit, walking around with a guitar attracts the female species of humankind. :D

New user

It's funny that I've been playing this game for about a year and a half and I haven't explored the community's tools yet.

I hope to post frequently from now on, since I enjoy sharing my perspective about this game. Also, the quality of overall guides have improved (when I started to play the game I used Mobafire as a reference, and some of the advice was... non-optimal to say the least).

Now, a year after and with about 2k games played, I think that I have enough experience to share with the rest of peeps. It's also a matter of personal improvement, as feedback always helps.

You guys can check out my new Annie guide (still a WIP). It's meant for casuals and gives some tips that I hope to make clearer in further updates.

Current projects: reach Gold ELO before the end of season.

Champions I'm currently dedicating myself: Annie, Nidalee, MF, Thresh, Sejuani

These are the five champions I wish to play and "master". I think that a small pool helps building focus and sets up the bar m…

Honoring Teamwork

So it's finally happened: I'm now officially recognized as some kind of bad ***. My peers have kindly bestowed upon me enough honor to get the Great Leader crest. I'm always happy to have proof that I'm not terrible at something. Its not like I totally suck at LoL, there's just a lot of people who get all hardcore, enter head-up-*** mode and grief over nothing. On the other hand, I've had at least two people call me "The best Sona in NA," so not all feedback is grief.

That said, I'd like to thank astrolia for his awesome Sona guide. The recommended play style coupled with a bit of my own finesse and experience was what earned me the bulk of my teamwork honor. It also helped bring my win rate out of this weird limbo. My wins and losses were something like 10 away from each other. Not so much because I failed at jungling and solotop, but sometimes because the rest of the team was just...bad. It turns out that a competent support wins wars. Who knew?
