Hey, I'm Kasugunai and welcome to my Zoe guide. I've been playing League of Legends since August 2010, having peaked Challenger rank 2 in April 2018.

I have been doing individual coaching (multiple games) since 2014 and played professionally for nearly a year from September 2015 to May 2016. Earlier last year I started my path to a more serious career in League of Legends esports, having worked in the German national league (ESLM) as an analyst for 2 weeks, in the Portuguese one (DreamcupPT) as a coach for 1 month and most importantly as the Head Analyst for Beşiktaş Esports in TCL 2019 Summer.

I took a break from esports until the end of this year's spring split for personal reasons, so in the meantime I figured I could write some short guides to assist people looking for updated setups and gameplay.

Before anything else, I want to make it clear that my guides are highly focused on how to play the champion to its highest level so I won't go into general concepts. For that you'd need to look up an extensive general guide but even then, it might be too much to cover without a proper coaching session.

Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments, I usually reply within a day unless I'm away from home. Alternatively, in the case that I'm live, you can also tune into my stream and ask me any questions and I'll answer if I'm not in-game.

More Sparkles! (Passive)
INNATE: After casting an ability, Zoe's next basic attack or Spell Thief bubble within 5 seconds becomes a non-projectile and deals 16 − 130 (based on level) (+ 20% AP) bonus magic damage.

Paddle Star (Q)

Target Range: 800
Speed: 1200
Cast Time: 0.25
Cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70
Cooldown: 8.5 / 8 / 7.5 / 7 / 6.5

ACTIVE: Zoe shoots a star in the target direction that collides with the first enemy hit, dealing 7 − 50 (based on level) (+ 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170) (+ 60% AP) magic damage in a small area, reduced to 80% to enemies hit beyond the first. The total damage is increased by 0% − 150% (based on distance traveled).

If the star does not hit an enemy, it lingers at maximum range for 1 second, allowing Paddle Star to be recast after 0.25 seconds in the duration.

RECAST: Zoe redirects the star to a new location near her, resetting its damage modifier on cast. The redirected star can travel beyond the new target location, continuing forward until it moves more than 800 units from Zoe.

Paddle Star's recast can be used while affected by crowd control.

Spell Thief (W)

Effect Radius: 2200 (enemy casts) / Global (minions) / 550
Cooldown: 0.25

PASSIVE - SPELL THIEF: Whenever enemy champions cast a summoner spell or item active, they drop the corresponding Spell Shard onto the ground that grants sight over a 100-radius area and remains for 40 seconds. Some enemy minions spawn with random Spell Shards that only drop to the ground for 20 seconds if killed by Zoe.

Collecting a Spell Shard allows Zoe to activate Spell Thief within the next 60 seconds. She can replace her current Spell Thief active by moving directly onto another Spell Shard.

ACTIVE: Zoe mimics the active of the collected Spell Shard.

PASSIVE - WHEEEEE: Casting Spell Thief or one of her own summoner spells grants Zoe 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70% bonus movement speed for the next 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 / 2.75 / 3 seconds, and summons three bubbles that orbit her for the next 10 seconds.

If Zoe is not immobilized she hurls one bubble at a time at the nearest enemy in range, prioritizing her attack target, dealing 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 (+ 13.3% AP) magic damage.

Sleepy Trouble Bubble (E)

Target Range: 800
Effect Radius: 250
Cast Time: 0.25
Cost: 80 mana
Cooldown: 20 / 18.5 / 17 / 15.5 / 14

ACTIVE: Zoe kicks a bubble in the target direction that bursts on the first enemy hit, or else forming a trap at maximum range for 5 seconds that arms after 0.8 seconds. The bubble can only move through terrain once but may do so indefinitely, can only move up to 650 units once outside terrain, and will fall short if it would enter terrain again.

The bubble deals 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+ 40% AP) magic damage on contact with an enemy and renders them drowsy for 1.4 seconds, which gradually slows them by 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30%, after which they fall asleep for 2.25 seconds.

The next non-persistent non-minion damage taken by the sleeping target consumes the debuff to deal bonus true damage equal to the post-mitigation damage dealt, capped at Sleepy Trouble Bubble's damage. The bonus damage is dealt before the triggering damage.

Portal Jump (R)

Target Range: 575
Cast Time: 0.25
Cost: 50 mana
Cooldown: 11 / 8 / 5

ACTIVE: Zoe dives into a portal that she opens beneath her, blinking to the target location for 0.75 seconds, during which she sets her movement speed to a static 0 and has unobstructed vision. After 1 second, she blinks back to her cast location.

Zoe is unable to basic attack and cast her abilities and movement spells for 0.75 seconds after casting Portal Jump and for 0.5 seconds after blinking back.
