Ardent Singed is a very strange take on the Teamfight Singed playstyle (Most commonly seen with Conqueror Singed). The idea is that you abuse the Ardent Sensor passive (Whenever you heal or shield an ally, you both get on-hit and attack speed), if you take Font of Life then whatever you slow will give a healing effect to your allies when they attack that slowed enemy, and so whoever you slow gives your entire team the potential to get the Ardent Sensor buff.

Due to the Font of Life + Ardent Sensor combo, we take Rylai's Crystal Scepter first so that our Q - Poison Trail slows, and so procs Font of Life, and so procs Ardent Sensor. Thus, when you enter into a teamfight with Rylai's and Ardent complete, you simply need to hit the enemy team with your Q (Or W or E or any active items that slow) and your entire team can, and will, heal off of the entire enemy team as well as get extra on-hit damage and attack speed.

This combo is obviously more effective depending on how many auto-attack based champions are on your team (Such as Master Yi or Jax) but I have found that it is an extremely strong build regardless and I would consider it to be an upgraded variation of the popular Conqueror Singed build.

The Aggro Ardent rune page goes against this design, but can still be viable as it synergizes well with the healing from Conqueror, this is designed to be extremely strong in teamfights with lots of self-healing and true damage.

Play Singed as a lane bully and try to accumulate enough gold to finish your first two items (Rylais and Ardent (As well as boots)) for about mid-game, this ensures that you can have the powerspike for mid/late game teamfights when it's needed. You do a lot of damage considering the strength of Ardent Sensor having 60ap on it, so you should be able to have a serious impact in teamfights.

What's really useful with Ardent Singed is that, supposing you're able to get Rylais and Ardent (Which is easy considering Ardent is extremely cheap) you have loads of damage and lots of teamfight utility, this means that even if you're playing awfully and have no impact, you can provide a lot for your team simply by existing. If you touch the enemy you have the potential of giving the rest of your team a mini-rageblade which is insane. Pick this build whenever you have attack speed oriented champions on your team, for example Master Yi, Udyr, Xin, Kindred and so on are excellent junglers to pair this with because you can create a lot of really good skirmish situations with your jungler to easily win 2 v 2's. The same applies for mid laners such as Twisted Fate and Corki, and all ADC's benefit from this.

This build was originally brought to my attention by Ankan, a challenger-tier Singed player on EUW. If you are interested in niche Singed builds Ankan is certainly a player to keep tabs on, he pioneered the Ruby Sightstone Singed build as well as the Active Items Singed builds which he was notorious for, having used an Active Items Singed build to play against, and stomp, G2 Caps.
