Since this is a Quick Guide I won't make any in-depth comments about the matchups on Irelia but I want to make clear what was my thinking process when I made the matchup/threats list.

So basically the ''Minor Threats'' section are the easy matchups , matchups that I wouldn't feel you guys need that many tips on since it will feel pretty Irelia favoured from the beginning.

The ''Even Threats'' section are the Skill Matchups , I would only recommend picking Irelia into these matchups if you have a bit of experience against the champions.

The ''Major Threats'' are the Hard Matchups , these are champions that Irelia struggles against but it's not impossible to win in any stage of the game against them.Even against Jax you can outplay him in the later stages of the game if you played the rest of the game right and you are fighting him near a wave of minions so you can dodge his Counter Strike.

The ''Extreme Threats'' are the Very Hard Matchups , matchups that you either can't really do much in lane against or that just beat you in the late game no metter what you did in the rest of the game such as Fiora.

When it comes to items I personally chose them based on the scenario I am in.

Most of the time , when I am even or ahead I would go for Blade of the Ruined King and Trinity Force and the boots of choice that will be based on the enemy teamcomp.

If I am behind and I am against a heavy ad team I would go Wit's End first and then Trinity Force for extra tankiness.When I am against tanks I will always build
Blade of the Ruined King into Black Cleaver since these 2 items are the best at killing tanks and Black Cleaver also gives you more hp than Trinity Force

Death's Dance is also an item that I love on Irelia , it gives you burst protection , spell vamp and also resistances.In my opinion it is the greatest item for fighters like Irelia but I wouldn't rush it as a first item option since it is a teamfighting item and you won't be teamfighting a lot in the early game.

Quicksilver Sash is an item that is not often seen on Irelia but I belive it is really good , sometimes even if you have a lot of tenacity the enemy team will have some sort of hard cc that would allow you to kill the backline such as Renekton W or Malzahar R so I would recommend taking QSS in this situations so you can unleash your champion and kill the enemy ADC.
