Use Q for short trades/poke and just dont use E aggressively. Play far from your ADC so you dont both get knocked up with W-Q. if Ali engages on you just E backwards + Q aftewards. If he engages on your carry, counter-engage on the enemy adc, you should be able to win the 2v2 like that because you do more damage. At level 6 he usually wont ult untill he's low on health but unlucky for him, we got our own ultimate.
Ashe
Build swifties and look to destroy her, she is squishy and immobile so one of the easiest matchups for us
Bard
Depending on the enemy adc/your adc you can look to follow his roams or play more towards lane. You should beat him in the 2v2 if you can land some Qs.
Blitzcrank
One of the hardest matchups for Pyke, his hook is so much faster and you need to be really careful while Qing because it makes you really vulnerable. He can burst you out very quicky if he hits you so make sure to react faster enough with your E. If he grabs your carry try to counter engage on the enemy adc.
Brand
Brand can be very tricky but a few players can play him well, you need to win early game because he outscales you really hard. Watch out at level 6 because he can easily kill you if he can land his combo.
Braum
Unless he's paired with Lucian/Ashe should be a free matchup. You can poke him out with Q + HoB and E backwards to avoid the stun. At level 6 you can easily avoid his ult with your E so look to do so.
Galio
Galio can be a really tricky matchup if you're new to Pyke. You simply cant all in against him or you will likely lose the 2v2. His taunt can really **** you up so, what you can do is look to Q him and bait his W, the taunt has a really long cd so once he wastes it somehow you have a window to all in and beat his ***. Remember, even if you hit Q on the carry DONT E FOWARD.
Janna
Skill matchup, in low elo tho, its a free matchup. A good Janna can easily dodge your skillshots with her super high MS, so the way you can win this lane are by either getting lvl2 first and all in or hit some Q from a bush, but again, a good player will play on the opposite side of the bushes so you will need to pull out some insane hooks for that!
Karma
You can win this matchup thanks to your passive, even if she lands mantra Qs on you, you can return healthy pretty fast. The matchup is not free tho, you will need to land some Qs to win, which can be hard thanks to her E bonus MS, so again, like Janna, use bushes and W to reposition out of their vision.
Leona
Never use E aggressively, look to bait out her E, if her E follows your E its even better, so you can time it to make her follow you under turret. If she engages on your adc, counterengage on the enemy carry, you should be able to win the 2v2 like that because you do more damage. If Leona has jungle pressure, this matchup becomes a nightmare, especially post 6 so make sure to place some vision!
Lulu
I personally think Lulu is overtuned, right now she's my go to ban. Her laning phase is strong, her shields can provide a lot of safety to her carry so even if you land a couple of Qs they will likely not die. Her R can **** up your R, plus she's 100 times better than you late game. To beat her you need to win your lane plus every other lane.
Lux
Lux is pretty free, 1 good hook and she's dead. Be careful at level 6 tho because she can oneshot you with her full combo. You can stalk her for the entire game with prowlers build, but make sure to oneshot her before she oneshots you!
Morgana
Morganas are always overconfident thinking this is a good matchup for them when its not. Try to get level 2 first and beat her ***. Play around her E cooldown, which is very high, watch out for stopwatch around min 10 and you're good to go.
Nami
Pretty free, although be careful using E aggressively because she can predict bubble based on your E and then flash it, so be one step ahead and get ready to react/predict her flash; even if you dont hit E, you should be safe and trading flash for flash with Nami is always worth.
Nautilus

Poppy
Noob trap, like Galio, she has excellent peeling vs Pyke, she can interrupt your E plus stun you at the wall if you play over aggressively. Like other matchups, dont use E foward but just go for short trades. If she's paired with Vayne be really careful because if she ever stuns you, you're dead 100%
Pyke
This champ is garbage, free af
Rakan
Rakan is not an hard lane, the problem is he outscales you hard and he's super safe in lane so you cant really kill him unless he's bad and commits, at this point you can just E backwards and Q him. Be careful to use E foward when his W is up because he has a free W on you. In this matchup you should usually look to hook the adc, if you can do so, you will win the 2v2.
Rell
Leona but worse, play the matchup similar tho.
Senna
Slightly better than Ashe but still pretty free
Seraphine
Pyke has always been a good counter to Sera even when she was giga strong, she is immobile and has no tools to defend herself, her W MS is pretty low compared to other enchanters so you should be able to beat her pretty easily
Shaco
Shaco can be a pain in the ***, dont play in bushes and look to grab his adc, he cant counterengage so this is how you win the lane. Alternatively you can look to perma roam, he cant dive so your adc should be pretty safe 1v2 unless hes dumb or they call jng for a dive.
Sona
Sona is like the opposite of Pyke, you're the best early game support, she's the best late game support. You can win the lane with ease but look to close out the game quickly!
Soraka
Make sure to use Q from bushes or otherwise she will just silence your Q channelling. At lvl 6+ watch out for her ultimate when you want to ult because you can end up in pretty bad situations.
Swain
Swain has no mobility so you should be able to beat him. Make sure to dodge his E before going in, he does a lot of damage and if hes paired with Jhin they can oneshot you if you get hit by something so be really careful. If he gets ahead in lane, its kinda over for you unless your team is ahead and you call for help.
Taric
Good Taric players are rare, but if you will ever find one make sure to be ready for a tough matchup. Tarics extended fights are unmatched because of his healing over time so you should look to take short trades. Aim for the carry and be ready to dodge his stun with your E. If you see a Taric in champ select, you should probably not pick Pyke because there are plenty of other champions that can play this poke playstyle better.
Thresh
Known hard matchup, his E can cancel your E so use it really carefully. Look to dodge his Qs. If you ever get hit by one, dont E instantly, wait for his flay then E.
Yuumi
Pretty much Sona but more safe, paired with a good adc with a dash champion can be really hard to deal, the problem is you need to win lane and close out the game pretty fast or you will lose, its a battle between you and the enemy adc, good luck!
Zilean
Good zilean players can dodge your **** like scripters plus his ult is super annoying. Although one good hook and hes ****ed plus you can look to assassinate him midgame with the Prowlers build.
