Welcome to my first Aatrox Guide!

I have played Aatrox since rework and always look for off-meta builds to see what can or cannot be optimized. So to start off, I have a small disclaimer:

Disclaimer: Builds given are to be played at most optimal levels for maximum effect. "Off-Meta" refers to builds that the majority of the population do not play. I am not responsible for your elo loss.

I hope that you keep in mind that this is an "off-meta" build. However, the build works with the meta due to hullbreaker and healing nerfs, so take what you will. Wish you the best of luck!

Main Build

Duskblade Why go nerfed Goredrinker when you can abuse invis and slow? Lethality and Ability Haste allow you to have a super strong early game. Aggressive playstyles encouraged. Death's Dance Takedown healing is broken when the rest of the champions don't have healing. Popping World Ender and getting resets on DD allow you to sustain full teamfights. Ravenous Hydra Supposedly Goredrinker has omnivamp powers. However, Ravenous Hydra not only has the same % omnivamp, but also gives more AD and wave clear so Aatrox can fast clear to roam. Early tiamat and late game healing utility. Spirit Visage Offers tankiness, MR, 25% bonus healing from all sources. Perfect for teamfighting sustain. Serylda's Grudge No CD slow on every single Q. Auto for Duskblade slow, then stack Q -> AA -> W -> Q -> E -> Q. Suboptimal Items Goredrinker Healing and some sustain However due to nerfs on Conq + Goredrinker + Ravenous Hunter, it is no longer necessary to build so much healing at the cost of other utilties StrideBreaker 40% slow and stacking MS is great for mobility and landing Q. Go StrideBreaker if you want to learn Aatrox, however keep in mind that this item does not offer the same amount of damage/sustain as Goredrinker. SB requires a more defensive macro heavy playstyle.

Play aggressively and look for mistakes:

• When the enemy walks into Q range

• Enemy used flash and now in E + Q range

• Pushed up too close to your tower: W initiate

• Multiple enemies in Q knock up range

Aatrox usually falls off hard post 4 items. However, with this build, you have enough utility to not fall off.
Switch boots for Phantom Dancer.
