Ekko
Ekko wants you to be close to him, which is not the best for Jax.
And if his Ult is up then that's it for Jax.
Orianna
There isn't a lot of specific synergies with Jax.
Anything that clusters the enemies together is great.
The more people you can hit with E and R the better.

Champion Build Guide
Though the basics will still be the same, only the build itself was changed.
Going AP turns Jax into an assassin champion and most of the time the enemy team won't expect the burst damage OR the AP damage.
You have 3 power spikes with this build.
AP Jax is a good choice as a blind pick and as a counter pick if your teams is short on AP champions.
Being able to build AP and AD makes it easy to adapt to the enemy teams comp and builds as we are basically using the standard Jax runes (Except for the sorcery part).
In most cases you should try to save your Q(Leap Strike) in case they try to escape or in case YOU need to escape.
Usually you will be able to engange using Q and have it back up in time for chasing or escaping.
However If the enemy started the fight I recomend saving it as an escape plan.
IMPORTANT: Early game you will be insanely weak. Focus on farming and only go for safe ganks. Try to stick to this until your first item or Level 6.
It might seem boring to focus farming but it's well worth it.
I already have some changes in mind but for now I feel like this build is pretty solid. I don't want to give a build I wouldn't play myself.
Let me know if parts of the build could be improved as it's probably far from perfect.
After the item update a few of the items used in the original build were removed, so I had to do some tweaking.
I also haven't been able to test this build yet, however it shouldn't be too far from the original build.
I'm by no means an expert, but common builds are getting stale and are often not even optimal.
