Introduction
Hi everyone, I'm lolperxie a small twitch.tv Streamer www.twitch.tv/lolperxie with 4,000 Followers and this is my Twitch Guide. I worked hard to make this guide the best I could, and I would appreciate any and all feedback that you guys may provide. Twitch is a fantastic champion, and he is by far the most fun - if played correct with all of his abilities such as Ambush. Without further ado, I present to you, my dear readers, my Twitch guide. I put a fair amount of effort into this guide, please test my guide that I imagine you are planning to do. And above all, thank you for taking the time to read this Twitch Guide. |
I am playing on EUW,
I hit several times Diamond 5 with 42 Wins 1 Lose, and Master several times with 70+% Winrate, also i peaked Challenger several times. So you can say this is a guide that should work getting those LP.
Press the Attack: this is the best Keystone for Twitch, the only thing coming close is Lethal Tempo but is only good in the 15+ minute mark. Press the Attack helps you in the early game and the "late" game and can help you literally 3-tap people. 12% bonus damage after auto-attacking 3 times.
Triumph: Amazing rune. Being able to return 12% of your missing health as well as give you bonus gold on a kill helps you stay healthy and gives you a little bit more gold in your pocket.
Legend: Alacrity: Takedowns give Attack Speed the only thing twitch really needs with this build to scale like a monster, the other options are also utter thrash.
Coup de Grace: This helps with executing on your Contaminate and really helps Twitch turn into an Assassin.
Sudden Impact : When you are a stealth champion such as twitch, there is nothing better than having Lethality in the early game.
Relentless Hunter: Getting 8 out of combat movement for a unique kill is absolutely amazing,it helps alot being at the right time at the right spot for [[Spray and Pray]

Pros
+ Ranged Champion + Good Ganker thanks to his Invisibility Ambush + Extremely Powerful if played well + Slow with Venom Cask + Brings Great pressure to lanes + High range Ultimate |
Cons
- High Skill Cap - Need lots of practise in the jungle - Extremly Squishy - Easy to counter - Struggles in the jungle quiet a bit - No escapes / needs perfect positioning in fights |
With this build your strength lies in being a good player overall. Remember Twitch is a really squishy Champion without a real escape:
That means during teamfights, resist the temptation to rush up to the front line and press (R) Spray and Pray on the enemy Team. This will 100% end with you eating all their focus and cc before you can manage to get 3 autoattacks off.
It is really important when you are playing Twitch that you get your positioning absolutely perfect. You have to find a position where you or your team can protect you from enemies, which is most of the time behind a tank. It is also really important that you remember from fights / skirmishes before what cooldowns were used, as example: The enemy team has Malphite with Flash and Unstoppable Force you need to be extra caution while positioning yourself.
The best ideal in a teamfight for you would be focusing the enemy Midlaner or AD Carry, but most of the time that leads to over-extending way too much. But that is not the hugest problem, since you have Runaan's Hurricane and Spray and Pray leads it onto all nearby targets.
Priority would be ADC / MID -> JUNGLE -> SUPPORT -> TANK
Focusing has to bo your part because
in some scenarios the Jungler is 10-0, and the adc is 0-10

I always try to get a Level 2 Gank on a lane (Mid/Top/Bot) whichever is most viable:
Red Buff -> Gank (Mid/Top) -> Blue Buff -> Gank Again (If possible) -> Gromp -> Rift Scuttler -> Recall
Sometimes it's just not possible to get Level 2 Ganks since the enemy midlaner is too scared that means you have to do the following route: Red Buff -> Blue Buff -> Gromp -> Rift Scuttler -> Gank/Wolves/Recall ?
For every game you are going to start at your Red Buff. There no other options here you will want to try to gank either Mid Lane or Top Lane at level 2. You will fall behind very quickly if you do not make sensible choices. Twitch does not naturally do well in the Jungle, it is a very difficult role to play and will take you lots of practice in order to come out of the first 10 minutes with any impact in the game. If you fall behind, you are highly likely to stay behind!

Deadly Venom: Twitch's basic attacks infect the target, dealing 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 true damage every second for 6 seconds, stacking up to 6 times. The amount is increased every 4 levels.

-
Ambush (Q): After 1.5 seconds, Twitch becomes camouflaged for 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 seconds. While stealthed, Twitch gains 10% movement speed. If Twitch attacks a unit while Stealthed, he gains 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 % attack speed for 5 seconds. Ambush's cooldown is reset when an enemy champion affected by Deadly Venom dies.
Your camouflage can be revealed by the following:
Control Ward
Scryer's Bloom
Enemy Towers
Any champion that is within 700 units of you
Oracle Lens and Sweeping Lens will outline Camouflaged units.
Attacking or casting spells breaks camouflage
-
Venom Cask (W): Twitch hurls a cask of venom that explodes in an area, adding 1 stack of Deadly Venom, leaving a cloud of toxic gas that slows by 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 % and adds a stack of deadly venom every second to enemies inside it.
The cloud lasts 3 seconds
-
Contaminate (E): Deals 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 physical damage to enemies infected with Deadly Venom. Expunge deals an additional 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 (+20% of ability power) (+0.25 per bonus attack damage) physical damage per stack of Deadly Venom on them.
- Spray and Pray (R): For 5 seconds, Twitch gains 300 attack range, 20 / 30 / 40 bonus attack damage and his basic attacks become piercing bolts that deal 20% less damage to subsequent targets, down to a minimum of 40% damage.
In teamfights Twitchhas to be afraid of several things, on of these things is where his team is, another iswhether there is anyone near him who can mitigate damage to protect him. If not Twitch has to find an opening where he can safely attack the enemies with Spray and Pray If there is someone who can tank for Twitch, stay behind the said "tank" and try to use him as a meat shield (only if necessary, an other option is trying to ambush the enemy team) let him peel for you while you use Spray and Pray to shred the enemy team. You always have to be cautious in teamfights since Twitch is extremely squishy and will have bought almost no defensive items. The normal teamfights looks as followed: -Twitch uses Ambush To gain the invisibility also for the % Attackspeed and tries to find the best spot possible. -If he found the best spot available (preferably Ambushing from the side, or behind a tank) he uses Spray and Pray and tries to kite either away or into the enemy team. -if an enemy tries to escape Twitch can throw Venom Cask To either slow them direct, or trying to cut off their escape route (sometimes into all of the enemies). -after getting 4-6 Attacks in Twitch quickly uses Contaminate as a finisher if someone flashes away, or the damage is necessary to finish an enemy. -if an enemy dies, he can always re-use his Ambush to get either the invisibility after 3,5 seconds if attacked, or the % attackspeed. |
