Welcome to the King of The Jungle Guide for Warwick! Im B.LAW_XD, a Jungler who mains and loves Warwick. I have been playing League casually since 2012 and only recently in late 2017 started playing competitively. I am writing this guide to help others and myself answer the questions that come up as we play such as, "What are the spawn timers for jungle camps?" or "What do I do when my gangplank goes 0-10?". All those questions and more will be answered in this guide!

Why do I play Warwick? It's because he fulfills the 3 laws of the Jungle: Violence, Speed, and Momentum.

Violence - As a Fighter, Warwick is capable of destroying squishies in an instant while also tanking damage for your team.

Speed - Warwick is arguably the fastest jungler in the game with his passive up and with mobility boots on you might as well be a racecar.

Momentum - Warwick may not be seen by many as a carry character but can easily carry a game at any elo with a triforce.


Everything about Warwick's kit fulfills exactly what you need from a jungler while also providing flexibility to carry games. Warwicks Q provides damage and sustain, his W provides speed and map awareness, his E gives resistances and CC, while his R provides a gap closer with even more damage and sustain. Warwick is everything you want a need in a jungler.

If your new to League or a veteran looking for a new jungler in your character pool I highly recommend Warwick!

Pros

Warwick is perfect for solo or duo queue. With Jaws of the Beast Jaws of the Beast and Primal Howl Primal Howl he has the sustainability to recover from poor situations his teammates may put him in. When Blood Hunt Blood Hunt is up he can easily pick off low health champions wherever they are on the map.

- Poor scaling - Kitable - Predictable - Need Good Positioning - Ult Skillshot - Low Burst

As a melee champion that struggles to close the gap on ranged champions without his ult, Warwick can easily be kited by extremely mobile champions. Vayne or Kindred can easily kite you to death in any teamfight and make you look silly. With his kit being easy to learn and understand this means most players will know what Warwick does and how he is played. This means low health champions will be more careful in your games (if they are smart enough to do so). Also, Warwick needs good positioning because his kit can easily force you into the center of the enemy team and thus gather their attention/damage.

Press the Attack Press the Attack: You need damage bud and with Press the Attack you got it. Press the attack is the only viable keystone in the meta right now for Warwick. It provides a burst of damage for your sustained fights with other champions. Predator is the alternative to Press the Attack but due to its buggy nature and not nearly the same damage potential, it is not equivalent in value to Press the Attack. Triumph Triumph: This Rune is basically a process of elimination choice between the three tier 1 runes in Precision. Overheal is not viable because you will rarely be able to above full health when fighting and Presence of Mind has no synergy with Warwicks kit. Legend: Alacrity Legend: Alacrity: Warwick carries when he has enough attack speed, damage, and resistance to overcome his attackers. This lesser rune is key to provide you extra attack speed to get the job done. Coup de Grace Coup de Grace: You are going to get other champions low but you are going to need extra damage to finish them quickly. With your W and this lesser rune, you are able to accomplish this. This keystone pairs extremely well with Warwick. The Ultimate Hat The Ultimate Hat: Domination may be tempting and may work on other champions better but Sorcery has two vital lesser runes that synergize extremely well with Warwick. The first one is Ultimate Hat, which lowers the cooldown on your ultimate. Your ultimate provides incredible value to Warwick and with this builds non-reliance on cooldown reduction, you need this lesser rune. Celerity Celerity: Celerity is the second lesser sorcery rune you want. Warwick wants and needs to be effective and with this lesser rune, the more speed you have the more damage you can put out. Now when you build speed, you also build damage. Muy Bueno in my opinion.

Titanic Hydra

VS

Trinity Force

Titanic Hydra is what you should be building in the majority of games you will be playing. This item synergizes well with Warwicks kit and normal item build. This item's active allows you to auto attack reset, which is important in duels and finishing off low HP champions. Also, when you start building tanky items this items passive allows you to do more damage the more health you have.

Tri-force is for when you need to hard carry. Defying any build logic, you will build this item and hopefully be closing the game soon after building it. When you start with the opening 4 kills of the game (which happens), you should be focusing on building this item.

Boots of Mobility > Movement Speed This is a carry item for our boy Warwick. Mobility boots enables Warwick to chase across the map in an instant when champions are low and allow him to gain an immense amount of lane pressure. Ninja Tabi's > Armor Normally, you will be building ninja tabi's. When you are building bruiser you will normally be deep in the frontlines of teammates. With that, you need to protect yourself from the enemy adc. This item gives you a bit more survivability in those fights. The only reason you shouldn't build either of these items is when the enemy mid is fed, in that case build merc treads.

Stalkers Blade

VS

Skirmisher's Sabre

Build Blue Smite jungle item for when you are looking to create lane pressure. This item ensures you can chase down most kills for your team.

Red smite is more for dueling the enemy jungler. If you know you can win any 1v1 with the enemy jungle, take this item.

Dead Man's Plate This will be your fourth or fifth finished item. The important aspect of this item is that it gives you more speed and armor. Build this item 3rd if the enemy has more potential physical damage than potential magic damage.

Spirit Visage Spirit Visage gives you a solid amount of magic resist while allowing WW to enable his sustain abilities. Build this item fourth if the enemy has more potential magic damage than physical damage.

Guardian Angel My normal concluding item for WW is GA. A resurrection allows you to go balls deep in the enemy back-line and cause havoc.
