This will be my first guide for Mobafire and I thought it'd be necessary because i've seen alot of Aatrox's that just don't do to well just because they don't understand how he works and how you should build him. I thought giving my opinion to help some people hopefully would make it easier for those type of people. It's going to be fairly simple because i'm purely new to this, Thanks for giving me the chance to help you if you do decide to take my advice. (:
I rush this everytime on Aatrox, most people do. It gives you an extra boost in Attack Speed and gives a good boost in Life Steal early game to provie some extra Tankiness and it's Active in a fight can be a total turn around for you in lane especially if you're having some trouble against your opponent.
Now this Item is key on this build or any Aatrox really, unless you're going full on tank. This item will win you mostly every fight, 1v1 or even 2v1 against you. This item provides a huge boost in Attack Speed, 10% CD Reduction, and 10% Movement speed while also giving a smaller timer on stuns and etc. I love this Item due to it's Attack Speed and Cooldown Reduction. With a higher Attack speed you'll be allowed to get your 3 Hit W passive off so much quicker and do a huge amount of damage or gain life steal back so fast it's ridiculous. The cooldown reduction allows you to get you Q off faster so in need of an escape or if you're in the middle of a team fight and you can get just spam it again and again. I love this item so much on Aatrox and you don't have it on him you're doing something wrong.
Just like BOTRK and Zephyr this item is fantastic on Aatrox, it is on most AD champs but he's up there with the few where this item is phenomenal. Adds some Tankiness to your Kit with some MR and Health. But it's passive is what really shines through on Aatrox, the extra 20% of LifeSteal that it provides along with Regen is what really comes in effect for him. This added with BOTRK and BloodThirster if you do decide to get it will get you to about 61% lifesteal with your Quints, then if you stack on with your W's passive the LifeSteal is outrageous. But to be honest once you have this item you won't need to use Blood Thirst anymore, you'll have so much LifeSteal you'll be using Blood Price for free and be giving a huge amount of AD every third attack for no cost on your end.
