Champion Build Guide
Prologue
You are playing solo rank. You are a first pick. You got no one to swap. You wonder, what champion should I play so I don't get countered? But whatever you think about, it is either banned or it actually has a counter. You want to ban a hard counter, but alas! There isn't just enough bans to ban all the Hard counters in this game! You reluctantly walk to your lane, get raped hard, ff at 20(cause at 15 is not possible), reported by teammates, screw league, and return to play solo rank as first pick just next day. This is just BS!
For you, first picker, I introduce you a perfect form of champion. Yes, there is no perfection in this league(except you, Aatrox, go to hell), but what if you can choose the best suited champion all the game? If your enemy counters your champion, tell them actually you tricked them to counter you so you can counter their counter pick!
Show them adaptive Malphite always ready to rock in all situation!

Basic
You choose Malphite in anytime you need to choose your champ before enemy. If your enemy choose ap, fragile, or teemo, get ap rune and build ap build. If your enemy DARE to choose ad bruiser, show him what Malph is made out of. If your enemy choose tank, well, laning aside, show him what Malph can do in teamfight. If your enemies are all going ap, well, show them you're not building armor anyway.
This two different Malphite allows you to flexibly decide how you want your game will be. Less frustration for you, more trouble for your enemy.
Since many more people knows how to play tank Malphite already, I will be focusing on how to run ap Malph.

How to Lane as a Ap Malph
Nobody could guess, you Q opponent.
Yes, yes, things are not this easy, but that's just 80% of the laning phase. Why am I even trying to make a guide then? The other 20% is crucial for the success.
First, if you chose ap Malph, it means you are 90% sure you can safely kill your opponent. You don't want to build ap Malph just because it's Maokai you're facing against.
So you start with Corrupting Potion or a Dark Seal and Refillable Potion. I recommend you to get Corrupting Potion, since mana problem has been always problem with ap Malph. It is hard to kill your opponent early, so you will have to keep your health and mana till first return.
When you meet your opponent, give him a Q, but not twice. This is to proc your Manaflow band. When you hit level 3, Q your opponent whenever Manaband and Comet(If you chose this) is up. After you Q, just back away so no more further trade can happen. Now wait for your Manaband, Comet, and Passive for next Trade. If your opponent decides to fight hard, eq and back. You will see wonder of trade.
In first return, most likely you are able to buy 2 or 3 Dark Seals. Do not buy anything else, and rush for the Multiple Seals. Yes, yes, I'm not writing Singed guide, but I mean it. You are playing ap Malph to kill your opponent, not to friendly farming so you get to rush your Deathcap. You will see why I tell you to do this when you Q on your opponent the first time in return. Do the usual trade. Ward your bush and when your opponent's health is low enough, casually req and ignite him. Bam! Congrat for the EZ kill. If your opponent won't come out from the turret, shove the lane and roam to mid(or bot or top if you are mid). Make sure to help your jungler whenever possible.
And remember, not dying is very important for this Malph. Make sure to buy vision wards, and help your jungler early so he can have more pressure.

Important Tips for Ap Malph
Do not build halfway ap, and tank, or vice versa. No Zhonya. NO! NONO! It's bad! You got to rush Magic Penetrations, and more ways to shove more damage, such as Hextech Belt, Luden, and Gunblade. You should be able to kill anything without MR. With so much less cooltime on your ult, you will be busy roaming around to kill anything. No Zhonya again! AP Maplh is useless without ult, so why bother surviving after you ult something? It's either you kill them, or you lose.
After you kill your opponent in lane, either turret down, roam around so you get some kills and cooldown on your ult with Ultimate Hunter. Do not save your ult for more than 1. If you see you can kill, go kill it. If your teammate is in danger, go for it. If there is a teamfight, go for it. Keep teamfighting whenever you got an ult. Don't waste your time, time is not your friend. You gotta snowball the game fast.
If somehow you got raided by enemy, so you could not get enough damage, stick to your friends. Your ult still worth something, and when you win a teamfight, you get the golds needed.
You choose AP Malph when 'it's hard to play tank Malphite' situation. In most of the cases, it's much better to go tank Malphite when possible. I'm recommending you this Ap Malphite because you can always choose your role after seeing the comp. If enemy top and jungler are ad, build tank. If they got 4 ap, go ap. If your enemy is just too much as a tank, go ap. This will make high enough winrate for you till certain rank.
