Champion Build Guide

Ahri Guide from ex-challenger. Secret way to win more games!

By Timmly
Introduction
Hi everyone, I'm Timmly, and this is my Ahri Guide. I play League since preseason 2 with breakes. My peak elo was rank 50 Challenger on EUNE. I was #1 Vel'Koz and #1 Xerath on Lolskill and Leagueofgraphs for 5 months. I finally decided to share my knowledge about League to help you climb up!
I've spent a lot of time to make it great, feel free to comment and give me advices what is missing!

DANGER

After reading this guide you will climb and experience gameplay on the whole new level. Be Careful!
Pros / Cons
Pros

+ Mobile after level 6
+ Great damage output
+ Excellent lane pusher
+ Good Assassin
Cons

- Immobile before level 6.
- Vulnerable, when Spirit Rush is on cooldown.
- A lot of damage depends on hitting Charm.

Ahri is really great champion to play and easy to master. Playing as Ahri you have to be extra careful before level 6. If enemy jungler is smart he will try to gank you a lot. You are safe after level 6, because you can run easily from ganks with Spirit Rush. Imagine having 4 flashes in the game. Yup, that's Ahri and 3 of them deal damage.
Spells
I wont write how much damage/mana it takes or what the cooldown is. You can read it everywhere.

Just hover the mouse on skill name!

Passive
Gain bonus movement speed, after hitting enemy champion with 2 abilites. Great to run & poke.

Orb of Deception
Orb of Deception is amazing skill to push your lane and to gain some more sustain. Remember about your heal! You can use it to survive ignite etc. It may be crucial.

Fox-Fire
Fox-Fire is a low mana cost damage dealing skill. Use it to help yourself in last hitting under turret. You have to remember that Fox-Fire prioritizes champions hit by Charm or Ahri's basic attack. You don't need to be afraid on lane, that after hitting enemy with Charm Fox-Fire will deal damage to minions. It won't.

Charm
Charm is excellent crowd control skill. If you hit your enemy, your next abilites will deal 20% more damage. Max it after Q, when you are playing against heavy assassins or bruisers like Camille Zed Jax etc.
If you want to make a crazy play with Flash + Charm, you have to cast it before you use Flash .

Spirit Rush
Spirit Rush is the most important skill in your skillset. If it's on cooldown, play safe and don't make risky plays. The amazing thing is you can use Spirit Rush to jump over the walls. Use it as an advantage to beat extra-distance on map to chase someone.

Summoner Spells

As i write in every guide Flash is the best summoner spell in game. Don't argue and take it!

Ignite is the best option for agressive playstyle. You can win 1v1, and if someone is trying to escape with Flash, you can chase him with Spirit Rush. Just pick it to make sure that no one survives.

I personally use Cleanse often, when I play against Evelynn Rammus in enemy jungle or Veigar Zoe Ahri Lissandra on midlane. Remember that you counter Lissandra Frozen Tomb with just one spell! It's relevant to deal more damage in teamfight.

Good summoner spell against Zed or Yasuo on lane. Also helpful in teamfights.

Teleport is always great option no matter what you are going to play. If you want to help your teammates you pick Teleport. If you want to snowball by yourself pick Ignite.

Runes

Domination and Sorcery is the best rune set on Ahri.
Electrocute is scalling perfectly with your combo Q+W+E and helps you to deal more damage.

Sudden Impact is my choice in the Domination tree. You can gain more ap to deal more damage, but Cheap Shot is working as well. Take Taste of Blood if you want to heal yourself and gain more sustain. Actually this one is up to you! You have to decide what suits you best.

Eyeball Collection is giving you more ability power, so more potential to kill.

Ultimate Hunter Spirit Rush is the most important skill on Ahri. You need to have it as often as possible. It gives you survability, excelent mobility in teamfight and kill potential.

Sorcery tree is pretty negotiable. You can take everything that suits you best. You are playing versus heavy ap mage like LeBlanc? Feel free to pick Nullifying Orb! You don't need mana? You need more power? Pick Absolute Focus! You have late game team comp? Pick Gathering Storm! You want to poke more on lane? Pick Scorch! There are no wrong options over here.

I took Manaflow Band due to early mana issues and i like to play with it, but as i said feel free to use what is best for you!

I picked Transcendence because I need to have my Spirit Rush available as much as i can.

Items
Doran's Ring is the best starting item for Ahri. You can also try Corrupting Potion.

Dark Seal is wise option if you die in early game and you can't afford Lost Chapter. If you snowball you can change it into Mejai's Soulstealer.

As Ahri you are an assassin. You need everything that is going to help you to kill enemies.

Great item for every mage. You need bonus mana and cooldown reduction. Also you get extra damage from Luden's Tempest passive.

Morellonomicon is Ahri core item. Morello is giving magic penetration and a lot of ability power. Also it is reducing heal, great versus Vladimir Kai'Sa etc.

Rabadon's Deathcap is core item for Ahri. After builidng it you gain a lot of damage, but never rush it if you are behind.

Void Staff is giving magic penetration. Core item for Ahri, because you need to kill all enemies fast! Even tanks!

Great item versus tanks like Ornn Sejuani Zac etc. It scales perfectly with Tormented Shadow to deal extra damage.

Build Mejai's Soulstealer after Luden's Tempest when you get fed in early game.

It's perfect against heavy engagers like Zed Rengar Camille etc. and AP midlaners like Fizz. When they try to go deep just click Zhonya's Hourglass and then escape with Spirit Rush. Also it gives you armor and cooldown reduction. Zhonya's Hourglass gives you extra survability in teamfight if you get caught. Build it as first item vs heavy assassins, but be careful with your mana!

Banshee's Veil gives you spellshield. Build it against heavy ap assassin's like Ekko LeBlanc Brand etc.

Don't build it. A lot of money for low stats.

If you read this, congratulations! Your percentage chance to win a game now increased!
