Hello fellow Summoners,

If you are on this page you are probably curious as to what AP Alistar would look like. Well I present you this build. In this chapter I will be talking about why I think Alistar is a viable mid laner and how I got this idea (if you don't want to hear my jabber about my Alistar story skip this)

Story behind me starting Alistar

So my friends and I were playing customs games... I (being a bit of a troll) decided to play Alistar... I had never seen him ever! So in that game I built him tanky... "normal" build. That was 3 months ago, now I decided why not try him in solo queue (normal games) I decided whit one of my friends that going AP Alistar could be viable as he has considerable AoE CC and can heal in teamfights... the perfect champion for a teamfight. So we got into the game he went jungle Gragas and I, Alistar.

Alistar can gank really well with his "q" "w" combo... use it to your advantage and show lane presence. You fill fall back if you do not continue farming until your build is done... farm and ask your jungler to create ganking opportunities (I prefer gragas jungle as he creates great ganks). Your early build consists of building a lead on your ennemy mid laner... Alistar "w" is the ultimate deny of farm... Use it, A lot, as it helps you and annoys ur ennemy laner.

*Blue buff is crucial for Alistar.

Skill order

I chose too max "w" first as it has the best AP ratio... does more damage. "q" is chosen first to farm better and the second skill should either be put in "e" or "w"

Choosing between second skill point w or e:

W: Harass if you are doing OK... deny farm
E: losing lane and what to sustain.

Combos

You want to engage with "Q" and "W" your opponent towards your side, use your ultimate then basic attack the ennemy to death... You can also finish ennemys with "W" as it has a small "flash" so to say.

***I have not played many Alistar mid games ( around 10 total AP Alistar games) so this section will not be as developed as rapidly as the others.

Champion Combos

Gragas - jungle
Xin Zhao - jungle
Lee sin - jungle
Elise - jungle

{Anyone with easy/good ganks. Also depends on jungler... communication is key for good AP Alistar}
