WELCOME TO AP LETHALITY EVELYNN

Not only is Evelynn in URF broken as heck as it is, but imagine playing against an early fed Evelynn and building magic resistance against her only to find out that most of her one-shot damage is almost entirely physical damage?

Nobody suspects AP lethality Evelynn, and nobody knows how to build against it. You'd have to build armor to counter her Ravage and Duskblade of Draktharr, as well as magic resist to counter her Hate Spike and Lich Bane.

MAX RAVAGE, BIND IT TO QUICK CAST

Essentially, Evelynn has a 100% AP + 100% bonus AD scaling on her E Ravage, but it only does physical damage. Additionally, Ravage applies on-hit effects twice. This is good for items like Duskblade of Draktharr and Lich Bane making this ability extremely deadly when those two items are purchased. [Note that Duskblade and Lich Bane won't be applied twice, only items such as Wit's End or Nashor's Tooth would apply twice].

Remember to bind it to quick cast!

LETHALITY RUNES

AP runes are redundant in this mode since it's easy to purchase AP items very early in the game.

AD runes are redundant in this build since Evelynn's AD scalings aren't high, and you cast your abilities more than you auto attack.

In this build, Evelynn works best with a full lethality rune page. Since Ravage has an insane scaling to it but only applies physical damage, we want Ravage to ignore as much champion armor as possible. Building a full lethality rune page also means you don't need more than one lethality item in-game to make this build work.

THUNDERLORDS DECREE

IS OP, and easy to proc on Evelynn. Adds additional one-shot potential to this build.

ITEMS

CORE

Get these three items every. game.

Rod of Ages first item is important to keep you alive throughout the entire match since Evelynn fights in close combat. This item is cheap, easy to get early, and is very tanky.

Duskblade of Draktharr second adds insane burst, and procs EVERY TIME Evelynn goes invisible. Duskblade's passive is also instantly applied by Ravage. By the time you acquire this item, Rod of Ages would give you enough AP to really buff Ravage and make it HURT. If you have a full lethality rune page, you will also have an astounding 42 lethality which will make Ravage hurt HARDER.

Lich Bane third adds EXTRA insane burst as the passive is also applied instantly by Ravage. Additionally, the AP and movement speed you acquire through this item benefits Evelynn greatly.

OTHER ITEMS

Rylai's Crystal Scepter adds extra tankiness giving you 300HP as well the ability to constantly slow your enemies with your Q spam.

Rabadon's Deathcap is AMAZING as it gives you insane amount of AP for your Ravage and Lich Bane. I almost always purchase this item.

Zhonya's Hourglass makes you sturdy against AD champions. stasis' cooldown is very short in URF as well.

Banshee's Veil makes you sturdy against AP champions and also blocks the first ability casted against you. This item can keep Evelynn alive when going in to one-shot the back line.

Abyssal Mask makes you tanky against AP champions, but also increases all of Evelynn's (as well as your team mates] magic damage towards enemies. I generally don't purchase tanky items.

Hextech Gunblade is very good as it grants Evelynn crazy life steal and burst and her abilities scale gorgeously with it.

AD SITUATIONAL ITEMS

Generally avoid purchasing another lethality/AD item, only if you really need to.

Mortal Reminder only if you're fighting against a heavy armor/healing tank team.

Lord Dominik's Regards DO NOT PURCHASE THIS, THE PASSIVE WILL NOT WORK WELL ON CHAMPIONS THAT BUILDS HEALTH ITEMS.

Youmuu's Ghostblade if you want the movement speed buff. Do not purchase this instead of Duskblade of Draktharr.

Edge of Night adds nice tankiness and grants the user a spell shield. I purchase this rarely though.

BOOTS

Prioritise defensive boots over magic penetration boots.

Mercury's Treads against AP champions.

Ninja Tabi against AD champions.

Sorcerer's Shoes works well with Hate Spike and Agony's Embrace

MID LANE STRATEGY

9 times out of 10, you can kill whoever decides to take the solo-mid lane. Play smart, be brave, and trust Evelynn's early power.

Take your Q Hate Spike first and push your wave as fast as possible taking every minion. Kite the enemies abilities if you must.

Once the wave is pushed, head straight to the nearest raptor camp and farm up. You should eventually hit level 2 before the enemy.

Level your E Ravage], wait for Evelynn to hide in the shadow, and then jump the enemy laner with Ravage and Hate Spike. This should result in a kill.

Once your mid wave is pushed again, do your team mates a favour and gank the other lanes before the mid laner comes back.

PRO TIP

Always ward in the river and teleport to that ward when your enemy laner is too deep. If you come up to them from behind you will almost ALWAYS kill them as punishment for hurting your tower.
