He is a hard-counter. The best you can do is farm for late game. Avoid short trades as much as possible.
Xerath
Similar to Ziggs, his superior poke will outdamage you. It's okay to miss CS as long as you don't die.
Syndra
She is difficult to lane against. Avoid her CC; you will outscale her!
Fizz
Abuse his melee range in lane. He will kill you in one combo if you have no summoner spells / Zhonya's hourglass. Otherwise, you have superior range.
Ahri
She has more reliable waveclear and high mobility. Farm safely and punish her mistakes.
Zed
Skill match-up; abuse his melee range. Outplay potential is very high - Zhonya's Hourglass is a must-buy!
Malzahar
He has superior waveclear and might force you to buy QSS. Your soldiers will eliminate those voidlings in the late game.
Lux
A good Lux player will play safely. She has immense range on her skills - but fairly easy to dodge.
Kassadin
Poke him down as much as possible. You have a short cooldown on your slow - attempt to cripple his mobility. Avoid 1v1'ing in late game because he has superior burst.
Talon
Abuse his melee range. Your ultimate will save you for only a brief moment - he will attempt to assassinate repeatedly so be wary.
Veigar
You're both late game monsters. It's a matter of who blows up first.
Brand
You outrange him a little bit but he deals much more AoE damage. Avoid standing close to any units.
Yasuo
Azir is a great lane bully. Yasuo's pretty much crippled all game. You should never be close to him.
Heimerdinger
You outrange him; your soldiers are untargetable - his turrets aren't. Never engage alone unless you're very confident.
Lissandra
You outrange her; you outscale her. Attempt sustained trades.
Katarina
Relatively high mobility - but very predictable; place soldiers on top of her daggers or yourself.
Ekko
You must play counter-engage only; you have amazing peel against an Ekko.
Ryze
You outrange him. Although his ult is very good for team mobility, your ability to siege and zone control is more advantageous. Watch out for his Flash>Snare as it cannot be dodge.
Teemo
His blind doesn't work against your soldiers - you will continue to do damage. Buy a sweeping lens trinket to clear mushrooms regularly.
Cassiopeia
Her single target DPS outclasses everyone - except you, Emperor. Your soldiers can deal AoE damage; her twin fangs cannot. You should never be in a position where she can stun you and you will have a good time.
Akali
Very irritating once she gets her ult, but otherwise easy match-up. Her reworked W lets her pass through your ult so be aware of that.
Lulu
Her abilities cockblock any form of engage. Save your Azir-Insec when her cooldowns are down.
Orianna
Orianna does generally well against anyone as long as she plays safe. You outrange her though.
Morgana
She can prevent you from Azir-Insec'ing the enemy carry. Otherwise, easy match-up.
Twisted Fate
His roam/split-push potential is very annoying to deal with. His stun card is undodgeable. Stay in the backline and buy a QSS or Zhonya's Hourglass.
Aurelion Sol
Similar to Twisted Fate, his roam is very potent. His burst can be unexpected so be wary.
Diana
Assassin or Bruiser Diana - either way you must never be in her ult range.
Anivia
She has an attack-speed slow; a good Anivia player can interrupt your E dash with her wall - watch out!
LeBlanc
Skill match-up; your sieging power is superior but her ridiculous burst can 1-shot carries such as yourself.
Jayce
He is strongest when he is ranged; attempt to fight him when he has just turned melee.
Karma
As another utility mage, she does a great job at blocking most of your damage - but not all of it! She has no instant hard-cc for lock-down.
Viktor
He has more burst, you have more DPS; it's obvious what to do. He has not instant CC so Azir-Insec is possible.
Vel'Koz
He has waveclear and poke that he can use safely. You have to be constantly dodging and attacking.
Taliyah
Be careful when using your E dash towards her as you will take a lot of damage. She has better roam and zone control - but you outscale her.
Vladimir
He is quite strong until you get Morellonomicon to reduce his healing. He will be a sitting duck once you do.
Zyra
You can eliminate her plants from far away. But a good Zyra player will prevent you from engaging with Azir-Insec.
Zilean
You outrange him; attempt to force his ultimate before teamfights around objectives.
Karthus
He has no hard cc and he has low range; his ult is global but you can roam better.
Corki
Marksman: poke & avoid close combat.
Ezreal
Marksman: poke & avoid close combat.
Kog'Maw
Marksman: poke & avoid close combat.
Quinn
Marksman: poke & avoid close combat.
Varus
Marksman: poke & avoid close combat.
Galio
Tank: sustained kiting.
Gragas
Tank: sustained kiting.
Cho'Gath
Tank: sustained kiting.
Gangplank
If he's a bad Gangplank - you can easily deny his barrels by attacking with your soldiers. If he's a good Gangplank - avoid barrels; you can only Azir Insec if you have hourglass, otherwise you will take a lot of damage on the way in.
Kennen
You can deny a great Kennen ult with your wall of soldiers; but very difficult if he has flash and protobelt.
You will have a bad time against poke-heavy champions; you will have a great time against low range enemies. Farm for late game and you will decimate any tank. Try to survive and deal damage whenever you can. Practice soldier positioning and attacking.
