This champ can out duel you, if he counter ganks your ****ed, he can out drake/rift you, he can clear as fast as you. Basically just avoid or dodge the game. Do not fight for scuttles, maybe try to path opposite ways if weakside/strongside doesn't matter.
Do not fight.
Graves
I ban Graves every game. First off the champ goes all over the place and trackign early is hard. Is he invading you? Is he vertical jungling? Is he gnaking level 2?
He scales better and also is stronger I believe at most points of the game.
Vi's bread and butter is getting on top of someone and beating the **** out of them. Graves mobility, armor, damage basically just negate Vi's kit, ban dodge or enjoy loss.
Trundle
Pretty much Same as warwick. If you duel him early you die and your team calls gg jg diff. Try to play smart and path opposite. Don't contest scuttles unless your laner's help or have prio.
Viego
I Can't handle Viego. I feel like Viego scales better and overall just has a stronger kit to duel. If you're fed this is a lot easier but if Viego gets even a little ahead it's good night for us. Try to apply pressure really early to win.
Elise
I don't find this to be a hard matchup. She's squishy and needs to do well early to be relevant. Sure she can stun you and spider hop your Q or burst but she loses extended fights. As long as you don't let her go 10-0 before 15 minutes you are fine. Fight her when you see her. Side step or dodge her E. If she spiders up then just charge Q and when she lands pop her like a balloon.
Ekko
A good Ekko is hard to deal with. Generally you will outduel/damage one, but if he gets in your face and invades you and applies a lot of pressure it can be tough. A good ekko is towards major threat but if they are norms then the matchup is skill based IMO or even slightly leaning towards Vi.
Evelynn
I think Vi wins against Eve. She is useless early and Vi excels at pressure and setting the pace. If we get ahead even a little it's over for her. If we let her get ahead, eventually with Some MR we still beat her.
Try to take advantage of early ganks/invades as she will most likely full clear and she is easy to track pre 6. Post 6 if you are ahead just fight her and she dies.
Fiddlesticks
Fiddle is kind of same thing as Eve. You just out perform him early and want to set a pace/invade+early gank. If you get ahead you win. Q his lifesteal and he is ****ed. always take a duel if it's 1v1 and he is not giga fed.
Hecarim
I think this is a skill based matchup IMO. Hecarim's clear is pretty insane and if we're not careful we can meet him at scuttle under leveled at 3:15 if he is good. His early/mid/late game scales pretty similarly to us. Fighting pre 6 is scary, play around your team. If you get the hint that heca is a lil bit bad just fight him and if you get ahead xp/gold wise he is easy to shut down.
Karthus
Just invade and burst the **** out of him. Do not let him scale or do anything. This champ gets absolutely rekt by Vi and if you lose you should rethink your life.
Kayn
I think this is pretty even. Avoid getting cheesed and protect your invades/vertical jungling. He can easily outplay us with stupid clearing mechanics and is a faster clear. Good thing we beat him early in duels. if you see even level'd kayn early fight him. If you track him early in jungle go invade if it's safe to do so. Take control of river with scuttles as well.
If he infests you with ult, charge q and when he jumps out punch him in the face. Rhaast is harder to deal with than blue kayn as sustain, plus the knockup can be annoying.
pretty even. He will outscale us so set a good pace early and get early drags/rifts as kayn's objective control is very trash.
Kindred
Squishy jungle with no assassin qualities? Go charge Q and full combo her until she cries and wonders why an adc was ever made into a jungle champ.
Make sure we set the pace and never let her take our marks. A good Vi should never lose against a good kindred IMO. just try to avoid getting kited but her jumps and Ult if you need to lock her down.
Master Yi
Good ole Master Yi. With new LT this champ is *** to play against. He can solo drags/ barons and you can't do a damn thing. Play around getting ahead early if you track and see any plays. Try to peel your team with your ult that negates him in teamfights. Q his meditate.
If we can track him early and make good early plays we can win no problem.
Ivern
Don't know to much about this matchup but just try to keep track of where he is early. We out trade him and if we can full charge a Q into HoB combo then we will rek him.
Jarvan IV
Lee Sin
Pretty even scaling/early power. Lee and Vi are very similar play styles and similar power spikes IMO. Skill based matchup. Avoid wasting spells . If he misses his Q we win, if we miss ours he wins. We can ult to cancel his ult knockback.
Lillia
Squishy Champion. We can ult to negate her stupid deer *** from running at mach speed. We can burst her into -1 second. We out perform her obj control/clear speed. Should be an easy matchup.
Udyr
Champ outduels you, outclears you, out objective controls you. Only positive and why I didn't put it in extreme is we have more teamfight utility and we can use our team better.
As for jungle fighting/dueling it's extreme threat. Stay away from hairy man.
Nunu & Willump
Q his ult, R his snowball if needed, it will cancel the knockup. Ult is ult if we cant hit Q. We basically counter his spells but he can steal drags/barons and as good river control which can damper our pace setting and early game control. even though IMO.
Rammus
If your team goes all AD, dodge. Vi has W which is a good tool to deal with Rammus. Think about maxing W second here if their team comp has any other tanky champs. We can out pace him and counter gank as he is a pretty 1 dimensional champ.
Sejuani
Do people still play Sej jungle? I've seen like one.
Kha'Zix
Even and skill matchup IMO. If we duel him alone pre 6/pre claws we can still outrade him if we hit full charged Q. He is squishy after all. Any armor negates a lot of his damage and he won't build defensively at all. Death's dance in your kit is a must. Once he scales we can get **** on fast but if we get ahead we **** on him. Just play smart for this matchup and we should be fine. Don't be afraid of isolation damage early IMO as again if we play smart we can outtrade.
Shaco
God I hate this champ. His traps can interupt our Q. I believe our W stays on the real shaco when he tries to clone. Buy sweeper and use it when he goes invis. We out damage him. If the shaco is good it's a super annoying matchup and we may lose but if skills are even we should win. pay attention early to giga ganking shaco who doesn't farm and just tilts your team to call jg diff.
Rek'Sai
Even and skill based. reksai is a great duelist but we out damage before he gets item power spikes. Careful for weird pathing and him to gank the **** out of your laners. We can secure objectives and rifts better IMO. Just try to countergank and track. If we get ahead it's easy game.
Zac
Hard matchup IMO. Lots of health and sustain that kinda negates what we excel at as vi. Also has great ganks.
We want to try to secure early objectives and get ahead or counter gank his ganks. He wont be farming lots so just try to match that pace.
Hey I'm B0n0!
I've been maining Vi since season 6.
I started league in season 3 and was pretty hardstuck Gold as I didn't care too much.
Season 6 I started to play Vi and made it to play in about 60 games with a crazy WR.
Finally hit Diamond then just been cruising trying to enjoy the game. I have prob 2mil mastery over all my accounts. I have a pretty good Idea on what you need to do to make a decent Vi player! Enjoy my Guide!
Playstyle
I Personally find Vi excels best in the midgame and does very well early game depending on matchups.
Her Gank potential is very good especially with any laners with CC.
You can burn summs easily just by fainting Q or catching someone slightly out of position.
