Bag of Lead

The Doctor is In!
The Howling Abyss, known for a gruesome amount of bloodshed and battle needs a doctor and Mundo is here to help! With a bag full of unknown medicine (or stonks if its really the hospital CEO) that weighs an ungodly amount, Mundo is here to save your team and carry you to victory. Don't believe me? Look at the sheer terror you can unleash with these few clips.

Turrets in your way? The bag is enough. An ADC has their eye on you, your heavy bag and cleaver are just what you need to fix their sight! With this kind of build, Dr. Mundo can really pick up the pace and start helping as many of his patients as mundo-ly possible!
Background
Hi! It's me, the one who wrote this build. I should probably say, I am in no way a "good player". Why? Because all I do is play ARAM and RGM all day because I absolutely hate Ranked. I never got anywhere with the roles I play and have had one too many bad experiences in Ranked. So all my builds are done within the confines of modes where you're free to try out whatever you want because you just can.

So why am I saying this? Because it explains why my item kits and runes are fitted solely for ARAM (and maybe URF). I discovered this build when I got so tired of playing Tank Mundo and I realized his E counted as an empowered basic. From there, I made a short list of items typically seen on semi-tanky, one-hit type bruisers (so basically Nasus). It's not exactly the kind of "mathematically correct" stuff that's been going around the last few months, but it is pretty dang close after this game proved it:

The time says it was a 31 minute ARAM game, I averaged over a kill per minute and the higher-than-normal CS for a Mundo came from me hitting one minion and clearing the entire wave when I had my core items. (If you're curious about champion damage, the opponent team had a Karthus, one of the super-nukers in ARAM, and I outdamaged him by 15K!)
ARAM Build Order
Because I said I play ARAM, I can tell you exactly how this build will work. On start, buy Tiamat, a Rejuvenation Bead, and 1 health pot. The Tiamat is an extremely unexpected choice typically as Mundos typically buy Bami's Cinder + boots. This Tiamat is solely for the extra damage on-hit and for killing minions to hit towards your opponents more often. E can apply Tiamat's on-hit and it will spread to the other minions so you can keep this chain going. The Rejuvenation Bead helps with boosting our passive regeneration as well as setting up for buying Warmog's. The health pot is simply for when you start taking more hits than expected so you can try to live longer.

Your first target item is actually Titanic Hydra rather than your Mythic. This grants a massive damage boost when using E and the blast cone is a hazard to opponent champions so they tend to avoid it. Otherwise, throw some cleavers and carry on. If they do end up avoiding it, this means you can start farming minions, blasting the dead ones toward the opposing team. The blast cone can also have some odd effects like odd E blast directions and ultimately heavier collateral hits.

If you don't have enough, buy a Sheen instead and whatever else you can. Buy boots even if you don't have enough for a Long Sword or a Ruby Crystal.

Your next item is going to be either Divine Sunderer or Trinity Force. Most often than not, go Divine Sunderer. Your healing off of your E will be massive and the extra max-HP damage to go with the growing power of your E is just amazing. It also grants the Mythic passive of mixed penetration. Mundo's Q and W deal magic damage which is affected by MR so more penetration grants more damage all-around. The rest of Mundo's attacks come from swinging his bag and chopping with his cleaver which means having armor penetration once again just means more damage (and who doesn't want more?)

Your third core item must be Warmog's. At this point, you probably already have your Overgrowth and Grasp well enough stacked that when you buy this, your healing will be immense. Just having Titanic Hydra alone before buying Warmog's is enough for the new passive, but adding the Sunderer and other HP growth is just perfect. Warmogs gives a huge regeneration boost even without its passive and having some AH is always nice.

Your last three items are up to you. I have just some suggested item paths, but it's entirely your choice! I typically end up selling my boots in favor of being extra-tanky, but you don't have to (especially if your opponents are very cc heavy. Then buy a QSS or keep your boots!).
SR Build Order
I'd imagine the same, except starting items are a Doran's Shield and 1 pot. Rush Tiamat and subsequently Hydra and wreak havoc.

This might be viable in Ranked. I don't know. I don't play it. But if it does work for you, then you've got yourself a winner.
Final Thoughts
I really only make builds for as part of my current quest to find every single thing I can do to deal a lot of damage as fast as possible. My original reason for this build was I noticed Tank Mundo can really shove lane. So I thought "What if Mundo went Bruiser?" The answer was becoming an unstoppable juggernaut who dominates the howling abyss.
