Mordekaiser
So this matchup is fucking brutal! And definitely EXTREME! Once Mordekaiser hits level 6, his ultimate makes it nearly impossible for you to survive in a 1v1 situation. He can isolate you from your team, and with his sustain and damage, you'll struggle to outlast him. Your best bet is to avoid direct confrontations and play for your team and try to cc him into a wall and Q him after. Its possible to kill him but in 90% of Team fights he will ult and kill you. Focusing on peeling for your ADC - if you bring him ahead, he can wipe out their entire Team after Mordekaiser dies (it's frustrating but always better if u die) If u fucked it up and he manages to ult your ADC, try to engage on the rest of his team and make the most out of the numbers advantage. Anti-heal is important to reduce his sustain and giving your team a fighting chance. Serpants Fang also good vs his shields and Rookern to survive him a bit longer.
Nautilus
Nautilus can be a significant threat due to his strong crowd control and ability to engage heavily. His hook (Q) and follow-up CC can easily catch you out of position, making it crucial to avoid standing too close to your ADC. Play carefully around his cooldowns, as he can turn the tide of fights with his engage and tankiness. Ward deeply to track his movements and communicate with your team to avoid getting caught. Engage when Nautilus’s key abilities are on cooldown to minimize his impact.
Tahm Kench
Tahm Kench is an extreme threat and is considered one of the most broken champions in the game. His ability to devour champions with his W (Devour) can completely nullify your engages or save his ADC from danger. His thick health pool and powerful crowd control with his Q (Tongue Lash) and R (Tempered Fate) make him very difficult to deal with. Focus on avoiding his Q and try to engage when his Devour is on cooldown, though this can be challenging. Building anti-heal is essential to mitigate his sustain. Overall, managing Tahm Kench requires precise timing and coordination with your team to overcome his disruptive capabilities.
Shen
Shen is an extreme threat when played as a support due to his powerful utility and disruption. His W (Spirit's Refuge) can block your Q (Crimson Curse) and his E (Shadow Dash) can taunt you, preventing escape after an engage. Additionally, his R (Stand United) can negate your roams by providing global support to his allies. Serpent's Fang is crucial to reduce the effectiveness of his shield from W and to mitigate his impact. Focus on out-roaming him before he hits level 6 or bait out his ultimate to catch enemies off-ward. Engaging directly can be challenging, so prioritize peel and avoid extended fights until you've managed his key cooldowns.
Senna
Senna is a major threat due to her long-range poke and sustain. She can harass you from a distance, making it challenging to engage effectively. Play safely early to avoid her damage and focus on surviving the lane. Avoid extended trades, as she can out-sustain you with her healing. Look for opportunities to all-in if Senna overextends or mispositions, but be cautious and coordinate with your ADC to maximize your chances.
Morgana
Morgana is a EXTREME threat due to her powerful crowd control and zoning capabilities. Her Q can immobilize you for a long time, and her W deals significant damage over time. Avoid standing close together to minimize the impact of her binding and area damage. Use vision to track her cooldowns and positioning. Try to engage when her Q is on cooldown or if she’s out of position. Be cautious around her Black Shield (E), which can block your crowd control and damage.
Kai'Sa
I loose the early game very often imo shes just a natural counter due to her passive burst and mobility. Her ability to poke with Q and engage or disengage with her R makes it hard for Briar to lock her down. If you fail to catch her with your E, she can quickly turn the fight with her passive and high DPS. Try to bait out her R or W before fully committing, and build armor early to mitigate her damage. Watch out for her passive stacks—they can shred you fast in extended fights.
Caitlyn
Caitlyn’s range and traps are a real headache for Briar. She can easily poke you out of lane with her superior auto-attack range, and if you try to engage, she’ll often have a trap ready to drop under you, locking you down. Her E can also create enough distance to kite you, making it hard to stick to her. You need to play patiently and look for opportunities when she mispositions or overextends, but overall, it's tough to get on top of her.
Draven
Draven is a major threat due to his high early-game damage and ability to quickly snowball if he gets ahead. Play extremely cautiously and avoid extended trades, as his Adoration stacks can lead to devastating damage if he catches a few kills. Focus on peeling for your ADC and try to disengage rather than engage. If possible, use your E (Crimson Curse) strategically to interrupt his Q (Adoration) stacks or to displace him during fights. Anti-heal is a must to mitigate his sustain and healing. Keep him under pressure and avoid giving him kills or free farm.
Karma
Karma is a major threat due to her strong poke, shield, and utility. Her poke can be relentless, and her shield can negate a lot of your damage. Play carefully to avoid her skill shots and manage your health bar to withstand her harassment. Use vision to track her positioning and avoid extended trades where she can continuously poke you down. If Karma is paired with a strong ADC or has a lot of shielding and utility, try to focus on positioning and burst her down when she mispositions. Buy Serpants Fang!!!
Swain
Swain is a major threat due to his strong sustain and crowd control. His Q (Death’s Hand) deals significant damage and his W (Vision of Empire) can snare you in team fights. Avoid standing too close to him to reduce the effectiveness of his crowd control. Engage when his key abilities are on cooldown, particularly after he uses his ultimate (Ravenous Flock) which can drain your health and deal area-of-effect damage. Be prepared to burst him down quickly if he overextends, and use your crowd control to disrupt his positioning and mitigate his healing. Anti heal is a must for obvious reasons!
Teemo
Teemo Support is rare but a real problem for Briar. His Q (Blinding Dart) completely counters your auto-attacks, significantly lowering your damage output in trades. His poke with poison and mushrooms (R) can also make engaging him risky, especially if you’re trying to all-in. His stealth and mobility also make it harder to lock him down with your E. While he lacks traditional support utility, his consistent damage and ability to kite can make this matchup very frustrating.
Gragas
Gragas can be a major threat if played correctly, especially if he focuses on peeling and disrupting your engages. His Q (Barrel Roll) can effectively poke and prevent you from engaging, while his E (Body Slam) can be used to disrupt your positioning. The best strategy is to play defensively and focus on peeling for your ADC. Try to bait out his Q to reduce his poke damage. Be extra cautious when he hits level 6, as his R (Explosive Cask) can easily throw you or your ADC under their tower, turning the fight in their favor.
Blitzcrank
Blitzcrank is a major threat due to his ability to catch out champions with his Q (Rocket Grab). His strong engage potential can quickly turn the tide of a fight if he lands a hook on you or your ADC. Play carefully to avoid getting caught by his hook and use your mobility to stay out of his grab range. Focus on dodging his skill shots and position yourself to capitalize on his missed hooks. If he hooks your ADC, use your E to reposition them, but be ready to tank the hook if necessary. Try to engage when his hook is on cooldown or when he mispositions.
Thresh
Thresh is a major threat due to his versatile crowd control and playmaking potential. His hook (Q) can easily pick you or your ADC off, and his lantern (W) can save allies or reposition enemies. Avoid standing close to your ADC and try to dodge his skill shots. Keep an eye on his cooldowns, especially his Q and E, to identify windows where he’s less dangerous. Warding and positioning are key to avoid getting caught, and try to capitalize on missed hooks or mistakes for counter-engages.
Braum
Braum is a minor threat due to his ability to block incoming damage and provide solid crowd control. His passive can stack and deal significant damage if you stay in his range for too long, but his primary threat comes from his Q (Winter's Bite) and his ability to peel for his ADC with his E (Unbreakable). Focus on avoiding his Q and try to position yourself to engage when his shield is down or when he is out of position. Keep an eye on his passive stacks and engage carefully to avoid giving him the chance to stun you or your ADC.
Taric
Taric is a major threat due to his strong sustain and peeling abilities. His healing and invulnerability (with his ultimate, Cosmic Radiance) can make him difficult to deal with. However, you can still capitalize on his positioning—try to engage when he's close to walls to maximize your crowd control effectiveness. Bait out his E (Dazzle) to force him to use his stun, then use your W to dodge it and go for a decisive play against him or his ADC. Managing his cooldowns and positioning can turn the tide in your favor. Serpants Fang and Anti Heal is good because of his W.
Poppy
Poppy poses a major threat with her ability to disrupt engages and peel effectively. Her Q can knock you back and her W provides a strong defensive boost, making her difficult to deal with in skirmishes. Play carefully around her cooldowns and avoid getting caught by her wall or being knocked into unfavorable positions. Focus on avoiding her engages and try to capitalize on her mistakes. Coordinate with your ADC and team to burst her down quickly when she overextends, especially when her cooldowns are on cooldown.
Rell
Rell's primary strength is her ability to engage with her W (Attract and Repel) and disrupt fights with her crowd control. Let her initiate, and then use your E (Crimson Curse) to turn the fight in your favor. If you have an aggressive bot lane, you can engage Rell’s ADC and use your E to absorb damage and crowd control. Avoid fighting Rell without your E active, as it’s crucial for both mitigating her crowd control and ensuring you can effectively contribute to the fight. With proper timing and positioning, you can handle this matchup effectively.
Rakan
Rakan is a bit of an odd matchup as both of you have tools that can neutralize each other’s engages. To handle him, use your Q (Crimson Curse) to disrupt his engage or block his W (Grand Entrance). Aim to land a well-timed E (Crimson Curse) to prevent his team from following up when he goes in. In lane, try to engage when he uses his W to dodge his crowd control, allowing you to stun him or send him away for a favorable trade. With proper timing and positioning, you can manage this matchup effectively.
Sion
Sion's all about being a big, annoying tank. His Q is slow but hits hard, so just dodge it with your W or stay behind minions. His E can poke and slow you, but it’s not super threatening unless he follows up with his Q. Watch out for his R, as he can initiate from really far away. In lane, you can kite him fairly easily. Just be careful if he dies - his passive lets him deal a lot of damage if you stay too close. If you play smart, you should be able to win trades or ignore him and focus on his ADC.
Alistar
The matchup against Alistar is quite even, but be cautious about engaging first near their tower. If he’s aware and positioned well, he can Insec you under the tower and potentially turn the fight in their favor. If Alistar engages first, use your E (Crimson Curse) to stun their ADC and focus them down, as you have more damage than Alistar. You can also try to stun Alistar into a wall with your E and take him out before he hits level 6. Stay aware of his crowd control and play around his cooldowns to gain an advantage.
Zyra
Zyra is a minor threat if you manage her poke and crowd control. Her plants and Q (Deadly Spines) can be irritating, but you can avoid most damage by positioning well and staying mobile. Use your crowd control to interrupt her attempts to zone you and try to engage when her key abilities are on cooldown. Watch out for her ultimate (Stranglethorns), which can be game-changing in team fights; position yourself to minimize its impact or use your crowd control to disrupt her setup.
Milio
Milio can be a challenge, especially when paired with a strong ADC like Caitlyn, due to his ability to provide significant zoning and utility. To handle him effectively, keep up the pressure by engaging frequently. Use your W diagonally to dodge his Q (Ultra Mega Fire Kick) if he attempts to knock you away, and leverage your Q's range to find advantageous angles. Serpent's Fang is highly recommended to counter his shield and mitigate his defensive capabilities. By managing your positioning and cooldowns, you can balance the lane and handle Milio’s disruptive abilities.
Seraphine
Seraphine can be bothersome if allowed to scale without pressure. Look for opportunities to engage and bait out her E (Beat Drop) to prevent her from disrupting your combos. If you can land a stun, it will greatly impact trades and can even secure a kill. Focus on denying her free farm and managing her cooldowns to reduce her effectiveness as the game progresses. Buy also Serpants Fang because of her W!
Zilean
Zilean has a weak early game, which you can exploit by dodging his bombs with your W and putting pressure on him. Focus on taking advantage of his early vulnerabilities to gain an edge. However, if you don't build a lead, he can become a significant nuisance later with his time bombs and ultimate (Chronoshift). His ability to revive allies and deal consistent poke makes him more dangerous as the game progresses, so managing his early weaknesses and pushing for an advantage is key.
Nami
Her Q (Aqua Prison) can be disruptive, but as long as you avoid her skill shots, she’s less dangerous. Her E (Tidecaller’s Blessing) and W (Ebb and Flow) provide sustain and crowd control, so be mindful of her healing and damage output. Engage when her cooldowns are down, and try to position yourself to minimize the impact of her abilities. Her ultimate (Tidal Wave) can be game-changing, so be cautious of its range and use your crowd control to mitigate its effects. Serpant Fang Recommend in this matchup to make her more useless
Soraka
Soraka's silence (E - Equinox) can be problematic if she uses it effectively to silence you, potentially disrupting your engages. However, most Sorakas won't fully capitalize on this, so you can usually afford a slight delay in your stun and still go all-in. Be cautious not to wait until you're low on health to use your E (Crimson Curse), as getting silenced at that point can leave you vulnerable. Anti-heal is highly recommended to counter her healing and sustain. With proper timing and positioning, you can manage this matchup relatively well.
Neeko
Neeko is a minor threat in the laning phase due to her strong poke and crowd control, but she can be managed with good positioning. Her Q (Blooming Burst) and E (Tangle Barbs) can deal significant damage and provide crowd control, making trades tricky. Keep an eye on her cooldowns and try to avoid her skill shots. Engage when she is out of position or has used her key abilities. Her ultimate (Pop Blossom) can be devastating if she lands it, so be cautious of her positioning and try to send her away while she is casting R with your E (Timing!)
Janna
Janna's threat level largely depends on the player, but she generally won’t respect your engage. You can use your W to dodge her Q and then follow up with a Q of your own to poke or all-in her. Her Q (Howling Gale) doesn’t interrupt your E (Crimson Curse), so after stunning her, you can use your E to further immobilize her against the wall. Serpent's Fang is useful here to reduce her shield's effectiveness, making it easier to burst her down. Janna's impact can be minimized if you time your engages well and capitalize on her ability to be caught out of position. Also buy
Leona
Her primary goal will be to all-in your ADC, but with your crowd control and positioning, you can mitigate her impact. Use your E to either stun her or displace her, disrupting her attempts to engage. Focus on protecting your ADC and ensuring Leona's engages are ineffective. As long as you maintain good positioning and use your crowd control effectively, Leona’s impact in lane can be minimized.
Maokai
Maokai can be mildly annoying due to his ability to disrupt your engagements with his Q (Sapling Toss), which can make it harder to land your E (Crimson Curse). However, if you wait for him to engage or use his cooldowns, you can focus him down or target the enemy ADC effectively. His overall impact is manageable, and once his abilities are on cooldown, he has limited options to turn the fight in his favor.
Bard
His primary impact comes from his roams and map-wide utility rather than direct lane pressure. Focus on maintaining good vision to track his movements and avoid his stuns. If he roams, you can use that opportunity to push the lane and gain an advantage elsewhere. Engage carefully when he’s in lane, and if you catch him out of position, you can take advantage of his lack of immediate lane pressure to gain control.
Ivern
Ivern's a bit weird in lane. He doesn't have much damage, but his shields and utility can make things annoying. His Q (Root) can set up engages for his ADC, but it’s pretty telegraphed and easy to dodge if you position well. His E can shield his ADC and slow you down, but it's not that threatening on its own. The real issue comes from his ability to peel with shields and Daisy. If he plays well, it can be hard to finish off his ADC, especially in extended fights. However, his early game is weak, so if you go all-in early, you can put him and his ADC behind before he becomes a problem. Tip: Anti-shield items like Serpent’s Fang can be useful to counter his shield stacking later in the game.
Renata Glasc
If you focus on farming and roaming, she’s less likely to impact the game significantly, allowing you to win in other lanes. However, if you need to win the lane hard, be cautious of her W (Bailout) and its potential to turn fights. Her crowd control can be problematic if you engage too aggressively, so try to bait out her E (Loyalty Program) or Q (Handshake) before committing. Properly timing your engagements and avoiding her key abilities can make this matchup more manageable.
Pyke
Pyke is a minor threat if you manage his engages effectively. Use your Q to intercept his hook or dodge it with your W, and follow up with a stun if he gets close. If he hooks your ADC, use your E to reposition them, though be aware that your ADC might still take significant damage. Try to tank the hook when necessary and use your W to dodge his E (Phantom Undertow). You can also bait out his ultimate (Death from Below) with your E to mitigate its impact and create opportunities to outplay him.
Pantheon
Pantheon can be managed easily with some caution early on. As long as you play carefully at levels 1-2, you can win trades once he engages. Build some armor to mitigate his damage, and he’ll struggle to be effective. If he engages first, you’re in a strong position to handle him. Just focus on surviving the early game and then capitalize on his lack of sustained damage.
Xerath
To handle him effectively, avoid his skill shots by positioning carefully and using your mobility. His Q (Arcanopulse) and E (Shocking Orb) can deal significant damage from a distance, so keep an eye on his cooldowns and try to engage when he's out of position or has missed key abilities. Focus on dodging his poke and looking for opportunities to engage when he’s vulnerable or has used his crowd control.
Vel'Koz
His abilities, especially his Q (Plasma Fission) and E (Tectonic Disruption), can be annoying, but they are manageable with good positioning. Avoid standing in his skill shots to minimize damage and crowd control effects. Engage when his abilities are on cooldown or when he’s out of position.
Brand
You can engage him aggressively, due to his lack of mobility and he’ll likely go down quickly. Just be cautious of his crowd control and try to bait out his abilities before you commit to an all-in. Once you have a few points in your E (Crimson Curse), you can easily out-sustain his poke and pressure him effectively.
Annie
Annie can be dangerous, but her engage heavily relies on having her stun ready. If you can dodge her Q or W or force her to waste abilities, she becomes vulnerable. Her burst can be deadly, but if you play around her stun and avoid getting caught together with your ADC, there’s enough room to outplay her.
Zoe
Zoe's Q (Paddle Star) can be tricky, but you can dodge it with your mobility and engage her once her cooldowns are down. Be cautious of her E (Sleepy Trouble Bubble); if she lands it, it can be very disruptive. Try to keep the pressure on her and force her to use her abilities defensively. Engage when she’s out of position or when her key abilities are on cooldown. Keep in Mind that she can use ur sommoner spells so use them wisely!
Lux
Avoid moving in straight lines to dodge her skill shots and ensure you can stun her effectively. Her ultimate (Final Spark) can be easily baited since you can absorb it with your E without much trouble. As long as you stay aware of her cooldowns and position smartly, you can engage confidently and minimize her impact in lane.
Lulu
Lulu is a tiny threat due to her limited ability to disrupt your core abilities. Her W (Whimsy) won’t interrupt your E (Crimson Curse), so if you’re quick, you can W-Q-E and still land your stun or disengage effectively before she polymorphs you. This allows for favorable trades or engages. Serpent's Fang works well against her to reduce the effectiveness of her shield from W and to enhance your overall trading power.
Sona
Sona is a tiny threat, as she’s relatively weak in lane and can be easily pressured. Engage her aggressively or roam if she’s playing under her tower, as she struggles to counteract strong plays. Her primary abilities (Q, W, and E) provide utility and some sustain, but she lacks significant defensive or offensive capabilities on her own. Serpent’s Fang is recommended to reduce the effectiveness of her shield from W (Aria of Perseverance) and to capitalize on her overall weakness in trades.
Yuumi
Well Its Yuumi. Engage aggressively, especially at level 3 if you hit those levels earlier than the enemy bot lane. Build Serpent's Fang as a second item to negate her shield from W (You and Me!) and diminish her effectiveness. You can either eliminate her easily in lane or roam and impact other parts of the map, as she won’t follow your plays. If she does manage to escape, quickly use your W-Q to catch and finish her off.
Shaco
Shaco is a tiny threat when it comes to laning against him. His primary danger comes from his early-game burst and deceptive plays, but with good vision and awareness, you can minimize his impact. Watch out for his boxes and try to predict his movements to avoid getting caught out. Use your crowd control to counter his attempts at surprising you or your ADC. As long as you play carefully and track his movements, Shaco shouldn’t be a major concern.
Camille
Camille is a tiny threat in the support role. Her main danger is when she can use her wall stun (from her E (Hookshot)) effectively, so your strategy should be to avoid her stuns by keeping her away from walls. Pre-level 6, you can consistently pressure her and even perma-stun her against the wall if she attempts to engage. Her only real threat comes at level 1 or if she manages to hit level 2 before you. Important: Always position yourself to tank Camille’s stuns instead of letting your ADC get caught.
Anivia
This Synergy is absolutely broken due to their combined crowd control and zoning capabilities. Anivia’s W (Crystallize) creates a wall. Hm.. wait .. A WALL? So u just use her E to win - slam enemies into Anivia’s wall, no matter where she places it. This synergy guarantees that enemies are consistently stunned and unable to escape. Anivia's R (Glacial Storm) further amplifies this control, making it extremely difficult for opponents to move or position effectively.
Jarvan IV
Kind of a Troll / Fun pick but J IV's R (Cataclysm) traps enemies in a confined area, allowing Briar to use her E (similar Effect like Anivia) to smash them into his wall - to lock them down. This combination making it incredibly difficult for them to counter or reposition.
Kalista
Perfectly Balanced - as all things should be! High mobility and the ability to kite with her Q can create massive lead, allowing her to deal consistent damage. Their combined ability to engage and disengage effectively makes them a formidable duo in both laning and team fights (Her R can be used to save you if you go too deep or for extra peel for kalista).
Miss Fortune
Briar's ability to engage and create opportunities with her crowd control perfectly complements Miss Fortune’s area-of-effect damage. Briar can initiate fights and peel for Miss Fortune, allowing her to unleash her R (Bullet Time) effectively without worrying about being quickly overwhelmed. Their combined burst and sustained damage make them a powerful duo, capable of quickly eliminating enemies and securing victories in team fights.
Ashe
Briar's ability to engage and provide cc complements Ashe's long-range poke and consistent damage output. Briar can create opportunities for Ashe to follow up with her R (Enchanted Crystal Arrow) and Q (Ranger's Focus). Additionally, Briar can peel for Ashe, allowing her to stay safe while dealing damage.
Nilah
Nilah and Briar make a strong pair due to their complementary playstyles. Nilah's high mobility and ability to quickly close gaps align well with Briar's aggressive support style. Briar can provide strong peel and engage opportunities, while Nilah's high damage output and sustain through her W (Slipstream) can help turn the tides in fights.
Samira
Briar’s cc and aggressive engages set up perfect opportunities for Samira to unleash her combo and stack her Passive (Daredevil Impulse). Samira's R (Inferno Trigger) benefits greatly from Briar’s ability to disrupt and peel, making them a powerful duo in both laning and team fights. But becarefull - dont push them out of her ult with her E!
Draven
Briar’s aggressive playstyle complements Draven’s high-damage output, allowing them to dominate the lane. Briar can set up engages and peel effectively, giving Draven the space he needs to catch his axes and deal massive damage. If Briar can secure kills early, Draven will snowball hard, making them a powerful duo in the right hands.
Jinx
Jinx pairs well with Briar due to the strong synergy between their kits. Briar's ability to engage and disrupt allows Jinx to set up her Traps (E - Flame Chompers!) for extra crowd control, creating opportunities for her to secure kills. Once Jinx gets her resets, she can quickly take over team fights, especially with Briar peeling and protecting her. Briar’s Knight's Vow also adds great value, further boosting Jinx's survivability and enabling her to carry.
Twitch
Briar’s aggressive playstyle and cc can help Twitch secure kills, especially when he activates Q (Ambush) for a surprise engage. Briar can dive in and create chaos, allowing Twitch to position himself safely and unload his damage. Additionally, Briar's ability to peel and zone enemies can give Twitch the space he needs to maximize his R (Spray and Pray) during team fights.
Vayne
Briar can create chaos and peel for Vayne, allowing her to position herself safely and deal massive damage. Powerspike at level 6 since she can follow u easily and if you land E she can E them afterward into the wall so they get double cc'd into instant death.
Kai'Sa
Briar's crowd control and aggressive engages allow Kai'Sa to easily follow up with her Passive (Second Skin) and Q (Icathian Rain) for burst damage. Briar’s ability to dive in and peel helps Kai'Sa reposition and go in for her R (Killer Instinct) safely. Their combined burst potential makes them a deadly duo in both laning phase and team fights.
Xayah
Xayah’s R (Featherstorm) and W (Deadly Plumage) fit well with Briar’s crowd control, creating a powerful CC chain. Briar can initiate engages and disrupt enemies, while Xayah can follow up with her high burst damage. Their combined crowd control and damage make for effective trades. Additionally, Xayah’s R gives her good escape options, allowing Briar to roam and engage without worrying too much about Xayah being caught in a 2v1.
Tristana
Very good all in and you can run people down, also if you land E stun, her bomb will do massive AOE damage. Tristana’s explosive damage output and her R synergies very well, allowing Tristana to safely deal damage from a distance.
Jhin
While Jhin benefits from Briar’s crowd control and peeling, their synergy isn’t as strong as with some other ADCs. Briar can help Jhin by engaging enemies and creating opportunities for him to position safely and deal damage. However, Jhin's relatively low mobility means he can struggle against high-pressure situations that Briar might create. They can work well together if Jhin is positioned correctly, but their synergy relies heavily on proper coordination and positioning.
Caitlyn
Caitlyn's focus on long-range poke and zoning clashes with Briar's close-combat, aggressive style. Briar's engages can be challenging to pull off against Caitlyn’s traps and her ability to keep enemies at a distance. Additionally, Caitlyn benefits more from consistent protection rather than Briar's dive-heavy approach, making this duo less effective.
Varus
Varus benefits from Briar’s cc, which can create opportunities for him to land his Q (Piercing Arrow) and R (Chain of Corruption) effectively. However, Varus’s range and poke-oriented playstyle don’t always align with Briar’s aggressive, close-combat style. They can work together, but their synergy is situational and requires good coordination.
Aphelios
Early levels can be tough as Aphelios is vulnerable to bullying, but once past the early game, Briar can effectively peel for him. Their synergy shines in mid to late-game team fights, where Briar can protect Aphelios and help him maximize his damage potential - you also have great pick potential with his purple gun
Sivir
Briar's engages and crowd control create opportunities for Sivir to follow up with her Q (Boomerang Blade) and R (On The Hunt). Briar's ability to peel and disrupt enemies helps keep Sivir safe, allowing her to dish out consistent damage. Together, they can pressure enemies effectively and capitalize on Sivir's strong wave-clear and team fight potential.
Zeri
Zeri's fast movement and high attack speed can work well with Briar’s ability to engage and provide crowd control. However, Zeri's tendency to move around a lot and Briar's aggressive style don't always match up perfectly. Briar can create chances for Zeri to deal damage, but it takes good timing to make the most of their combo.
Ezreal
Briar mainly acts as a bodyguard for Ezreal, as their styles don’t mesh well. Briar’s aggressive playstyle clashes with Ezreal’s need to stay at range and kite. They lack strong synergy in terms of combined offensive pressure. This matchup works better for roaming but offers limited synergy in fights.
Lucian
Lucian's burst and mobility can work with Briar's engages, but their playstyles don't always align perfectly. Briar's longer engage times can make it difficult for Lucian to fully capitalize on his short, high-damage combos. However, if timed well and Briar lands a E, it can create openings for Lucian to quickly burst down enemies, making them a decent but not exceptional pair.
Ziggs
Ziggs prefers long-range poke, while Briar thrives in close combat. Their playstyles clash, making it hard for them to coordinate effectively in lane. Briar’s aggressive engages can leave Ziggs exposed, limiting his ability to poke safely.
Kog'Maw
Kog'Maw is a hyper-carry that needs consistent protection and peel to safely dish out damage from a distance. Briar, on the other hand, is an aggressive support that excels in diving into enemies and engaging fights, which can leave Kog'Maw vulnerable. Briar’s playstyle doesn’t align well with the protection Kog'Maw needs, making this duo less effective unless the team is built to compensate for Kog'Maw’s lack of mobility and need for peel.
Smolder
His early game is weak, making it difficult for Briar to capitalize on his lack of pressure. While Smolder becomes a late-game powerhouse with his stacking mechanic and execute damage, Briar’s aggressive style doesn’t align well with his need to farm and scale playstyle.
