Brand is my main character. I like the damage of the nuke class but hate how squishy they are so my brand build puts damage and resilience together. more details are soon going to come. Hope u guys enjoy! :D
Brand's Story:
In a faraway place known as Lokfar there was a seafaring marauder called Kegan Rodhe. As was his peoples way, Kegan sailed far and wide with his fellows, stealing treasures from those unlucky enough to catch their attention. To some, he was a monster; to others, just a man. One night, as they sailed through the arctic waters, strange lights danced over the frozen wastes. There was something hypnotic about them; it was something that drew them to it like moths to a flame. Trekking across the frozen waste, they came to a cave covered in ancient runes. The meaning of the runes long lost to them, Kegan led the way inside. There, inside a perfect cage of ice floated a dancing column of flame. There was no way such a thing should be burning, especially not in this place. However, its movement was as hypnotic as a siren's song, captivating and seductive. While the others stayed back, Kegan could not help but approach it while holding out his hand...
That is the last thing Kegan Rodhe remembers, for now his body belongs to Brand. It is a creature of olden times, perhaps even a casualty of the Rune Wars. It is known in ancient texts as the Burning Vengeance. It is a creature of pure fiery hate that exists for no other reason than to lay low the world of men and yordles. No one is quite sure how Brand found his way to Valoran, but he began his predations at once. Overcome by Demacian forces, he was given a choice: fight within the confines of the League or die. Naturally, he chose to use his destructive powers in the League, for now...

Pros:
Lots of early game damage to give you a good headstart
plenty of options in fights cuz of an awesome kit
doesn't fall off late game
Heavy AOE damage
passive is the best for KSing ^.^
Cons:
squishy (but which ap caster isn't)
killed the moment he gets CC'd
all of his skills are combo based (it takes twice as long to stun or do targeted aoe damage with his kit)

Mostly flat AP runes start off doing lots of damage giving you an early advantage to try and get a few needed early kills. Otherwise you dont get far ahead enough to avoid the notorious fall of
Brand's damage.

What you start out with usually depends on the champion your facing. if it turns out your facing a long range skill shot orientated champion like
Ahri or
Twisted Fate get the
Boots 3
Health Potion build and play dodgeball otherwise if your up against someone like
Annie go for
Doran's Ring. It gives you early game sustainability and increased ap. I rush
Will of the Ancients because its a great item that gives you some much needed sustain and a decent boost in ap as well. Next i go
Rylai's Crystal Scepter to lose some of
Brand's squishiness and for the slow. With
Brand being all about aoe damage this helps out BIG in teamfights. After that I go
Rabadon's Deathcap (is there really a need to explain why?) Once you finish that the core build is finished leaving the last two slots for different options. if you find yourself against a
Galio or the tank(s) are building alot of magic resist then go for a
Void Staff. Or if the enemy team is doing alot of AP damage to you the go for
Abyssal Mask. generally however i go
Liandry's Torment. Brand falling of hard after he gets his
Rabadon's Deathcap was always a big problem with his competitive play in season 2,
Liandry's Torment is a good way to counteract his damage falling off by doing percent damage. lastly I build a
Zhonya's Hourglass. This item is deffinately one of the most crucial end game items on any AP caster. Although it does some armor, with how squishy AP carrys are late game the extra armor doesn't do much however the 2 second stasis is a necessity.

I usually go for the
Flash
Ignite combo to guarantee the early kill but there are other options. Flash is a definite necessity on brand however because he has no built in escapes. ignite is not necessarily a needed spell, it is if your laning against a
Vladimir or if the enemy team has a
Dr. Mundo but otherwise not needed. other options are
Clarity which gives you more early game sustain or
Ghost or
Heal which give u more running away ability as well as the extra option of healbaiting ^.^

Brand has alot of options when it comes to team work. Because each of his spells has a different effect when used right after another spell, he can do alot different things. First he can initiate with his
Pyroclasm which does massive damage if there aren't any enemy minions around and the enemy team is clustered together. he then continues to do the AoE damage with
Pillar of Flame and
Conflagration and nuke the entire team. another options is to go into the fight half way through and play clean up. With the AoE damage he has and with
Sear for a stun to catch running enemies, its really easy to get a penta this way and ultimately win the team fight.
